  • "We found this holiday home in excellent order, all of the appliances were like new and the home was spotlessly clean."

It was perfect for a couple and there was more space than we imagined, there was also a great welcome pack with a whole variety of foods and teas and coffee waiting for us. The home was lovely and warm at all times and in a nice peaceful location. The owners were very pleasant and helpful when we had any questions, we would certainly consider staying here again when we return to this area.

Watching the light change on the hill opposite and listening to the birds a bonus. Welcome goodies a really nice add on. No negatives but the addition of a big bowl would be useful.

As well as being surprisingly spacious, the accommodation is immaculately clean throughout. Furnishings and fittings are all top-notch and appliances and equipment state of the art. Being surrounded by mountains it was no real surprise that television reception was problematic at times but Edith went out of her way to address our issues. We adored the location which is surrounded by delightful walks and stunningly scenic drives. It was also a joy to watch from the comfort of the lounge settee the birds feeding non-stop on the well-stocked feeder across the drive.

It is so comfortable and well equipped. The attention to detail by Edith & Matthew is first class, they’ve thought of everything. The personalised Welcome information was so useful, it made it easy to use the appliances rather than having to seek out instruction manuals. Crockery/cutlery/pans etc weren’t old cast offs that you often seem to find in cottages, but very good quality items. The welcome pack was so well thought out, excellent when you arrive after a long journey. The coffee maker was a real treat for Simon, he was very impressed! The setting of the cottage was perfect to go off exploring all the amazing surrounding areas. This is definitely 5 star accommodation. Thank you for making our holiday so perfect!

It has been thoughtfully furnished and stocked. Very quiet area and surrounded by greenery. We loved watching the wide variety of birds on the feeders. We were also lucky to have fantastic weather so were able to make use of the verandah and sit in the sun having breakfast. Edith and Matt are lovely and very helpful if needed. The view was stunning and the cottage itself was very well presented, little things like their being flasks in the kitchen for when we went out, bread and fresh eggs on the side (bantam ones as well which was lovely) and a washing machine made the holiday even easier, and shows the owners obviously know what their doing. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. This was actually our honeymoon after being married at Gretna and I can honestly say it was more than good enough for a honeymoon, best holiday I think we have ever had.

The property is perfect for a couple, very clean, really warm and comfortable with everything you need to feel at home (good shower, Amazon tv; excellent wifi). It is actually much more spacious than the photos suggest! The place was decorated for Christmas and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook proper meals. Great bean to cup coffee machine, good selection of crockery, and plenty of cutlery with all the usual appliances. We were cycling and walking and there was plenty of space to dry clothes, clean shoes etc. The owners were lovely. They made space for our bikes in their secure garage, made sure we had everything we needed and could get in touch for anything but left us to it otherwise. We really appreciated the useful welcome pack and all the thoughtful touches to the property. I left a jacket behind when we left and they kindly posted it back to us within a day. The cottage was ideally located to explore a large area of the Highlands and was situated in a lovely quiet area but with good access to the main roads. The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable with everything we needed. Edith and Mathew made us very welcome and were on hand if there were any problems, which there weren't. There are not a lot of "attractions" to visit in this area so it is really an area to visit for walking and sightseeing the fantastic rivers, waterfalls, lochs and mountains. We were visiting at the time of Covid-19 so of course some attractions were not available but the West Highland Railway from Fort William to Mallaig would have been stunning. To summarise, a beautiful cottage, scenery and holiday.
