  • “Lovely cosy little cottage.”

Perfectly clean, superbly stocked in a remote yet well-connected location. Best dark sky I have ever seen in the UK for star-gazing, We were lucky to see a meteor shower which took our breath away. Highly recommend The Wee Cottage.

The property

Laide 12 miles.

The Wee Barn is a cosy retreat overlooking the idyllic Little Loch Broom in the Scottish Highlands.

With its tranquil, remote location and snug accommodation for two, make this the heart-warming base for your romantic getaway.

Enter into a homely hallway; a comfy arm chair offers a moment or two of peaceful relaxation.

Straight ahead lies the bright white shower room, charmingly retaining the barn's original whitewashed stone wall.

Spend your leisure time unwinding in the splendid open-plan living room; the dining table looks out over the loch whilst the welcoming sofa enjoys the company of a stunning woodburning stove.

Retire to the inviting bedroom at the end of each day, a double bed is enhanced by exposed woodwork and plenty of hanging space so you can pack for all weathers.

A delightful bench comes at the front of the house and showcases the most incredible views of the loch and the mountains beyond, a heavenly spot to sit with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine and simply appreciate this wondrous setting.

A drive along the picturesque coast brings you to Laide, which boasts some local amenities.

You can find a friendly village pub at Aultbea slightly further afield.

As well as majestic countryside and coastline nearby, longer trips can take you to the charming town of Ullapool and the striking city of Inverness with its dominating castle and wealth of amenities.

Make The Wee Barn the location for your much-needed break from everyday life.
