  • "Lovely cottage, very comfortable, warm and well furnished."

Location was peaceful with beautiful scenery. Best of all you welcome dogs. Would certainly recommend this location if you want to just chill out and walk.

  • "The perfect, quiet location for a relaxing break."

Hunish is a wonderful cozy cottage.

  • "Hunish is a lovely cosy and warm cottage but not for 9 people…we were a party of 4 with 2 dogs and it was good for us."

However, the most annoying thing about the house was having the shower and toilet downstairs and through the kitchen…even more of a nuisance at night! The galley kitchen was very cosy for 2 people but with the added through traffic to the toilet/shower during the day it was cramped to say the least. The sitting room was lovely and comfy but not suitable for 9 people, and the same with the dining room. The garden is not enclosed for the dogs and is shared with the other cottages. Apart from these drawbacks the views were great, there were walks from the front door and it’s incredibly peaceful.

  • "We had a lovely holiday but we did struggle a bit with the seating in the living room and only having one shower for 6 of us."

We had to bring 2 chairs down from the bedrooms. The people on the settee under the window either couldn’t see the tv or had to sit in a way that they blocked the people in the chairs from seeing it. There isn’t seating for 9 people in the living room or at the dining table. If the tv was positioned on the chimney breast everyone could see it and if longer settees were installed everyone could have a seat. The bedrooms were lovely, as was the position of the cottage. The owner was immediately on hand for any problems and was very friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in returning to this property if there were less of us.

  • "There's no disputing that this is a delightful cottage in a beautiful location."

However, cramming nine beds into the property does not automatically make it suitable for a party of nine people as the rest of the accommodation is definitely not suitable for a party of nine.. In any case, two toilets and one shower is certainly not sufficient for a party of nine. The living room and dining room both struggle to accommodate more than five or six people at a time and the kitchen is small and inconveniently situated between the living rooms and the two toilet and toilet/shower rooms. The garden CANNOT easily be made secure without involving the other two cottages - in any case, the rear field often contained sheep, making it impossible for dogs to be let loose. Overall, disappointingly 'over-hyped' and, in our opinion, overpriced.

  • "We have stayed in cottages from Cornwall to John O'Groats."

This has by far been the best cottage we have ever stayed in. So amazing, I am in process of rebooking for next year!! The location is amazing. The luxury of having Wifi and Netflix for days when it is cold and rainy outside is a blessing. You would think in this day and age this is a given, but trust me it is not. You can stay in this cottage without ever really having to go anywhere. Beautiful walks right from your door step. We found the shop in Uig Rankings, which also has a post office. This shop has the most wonderful assortment of things they carry. Items I wouldn't expect to find there, these shop caters to everyone. Even the beer from the Skye Brewery is cheaper in that shop than it is from the brewery itself. Absolutely cannot wait to return to this magical place. I would love to live there permanently.
