“This was our second visit to the cottage as was just as beautiful as we remembered.”

The cottage has fantastic facilities with a welcome basket for when we arrived and even included treats for our dog! We booked a Tesco delivery however there are plenty of local shops and eating places if you prefer. The cottage had everything we needed with lovely big, enclosed gardens for the dog and waking up every morning to the sight of Ben Nevis was breath taking. We booked a Tesco delivery however there are plenty of local shops and eating places if you prefer. The cottage had everything we needed with lovely big, enclosed gardens for the dog and waking up every morning to the sight of Ben Nevis was breath taking. The location was superb for exploring the area. A few seconds away from lovey walks and runs along the Caledonian Canal, we loved watching the boats go through the locks. Could also see the Jacobite train from our cottage window going past and its well worth a visit to Glenfinnan Viaduct. We went on amazing walks a few minutes drive from the cottage including Steall Waterfalls and Ben Nevis (we got half way up!) as well as Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye and Glen Coe for trips out. Will definitely be coming back as we have found this jewel of a cottage in one of the most beautiful places in Scotland we have ever been.

A short walk from the banks of the fabulous Caledonian Canal and Neptune’s Staircase, this lovely cottage is ideal for a family group or group of friends who want to get out there and explore one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland.

Approached by gentle steps leading up to the front door there are two well-presented bedrooms, one benefiting from an en-suite shower room.

A door from the kitchen leads to an open rear porch/boot storage area and then on to the very pretty rear garden where a gate gives access to a small track leading up to a private viewing point.

The sunny sitting room has simply stunning views over the rooftops of the village to the mountains beyond and on sunny days guests can take their morning coffee out onto the front terrace and soak up the vista whilst planning the day’s events.

There is so much to do and so much is close by.

For enthusiastic walkers then Ben Nevis can be conquered whilst cyclists can meander along the banks of the canal and enjoy the gentle pace of life beside the water.

By car, atmospheric Glencoe is a short drive away, or alternatively a trip across the Corran Ferry onto the Ardnamurchan Peninsula with its great sandy beaches makes a perfect day out.

Westward along the famous Road to the Isles you'll come to Glenfinnan on beautiful Loch Shiel and the the monument to bonnie Prince Charlie.

Leave the car behind and adventure on public transport, a bus stop is close by with regular services to Fort William and Corpach, the local train station lies on the Fort William to Mallaig line and travels over the Glenfinnan viaduct, as featured in the Harry Potter movies.

At the end of a glorious day exploring, return to this fabulous cosy cottage.
