“The cottage is Fantastic in a brilliant location”
“We had amazing weather all week.”
The view to Ben Nevis from the cottage is fantastic. Father an Son climbed Ben Nevis, said it was hard but worth the 9hr it took there and back. The cottage has everything, wonderfully inviting, loved it 10/10
“We liked everything couldn't find a fault at all”
“The exterior of this cottage isn't "chocolate box" but the interior is fabulous!”
So warm and comfy. Well equipped with the most amazing views up Glen Nevis including Ben Nevis. Dog friendly with an enclosed garden and the back gate leads straight onto a wooded hill - all be it very steep!! Close to the Caledonian Canal and Neptune's Staircase. If you like hill walking this is the ideal location for so many walks - more than you can do in a week. Planning a return visit already.
“Absolutely perfect location , highly recommended.”
“Lovely cottage in great area for exploring the highlands.”
Immaculately clean with everything you could want. Good to have a couple of eating places nearby too. Thank you.
“Brilliant cottage very warm and welcoming centrally located for all nearby attractions.”
We arrived to a lovely cottage home from home everything you need very comfortable and cozy absolutely spotless ,the views are amazing easy access to all you need to see and do we are having a fabulous time here and would return if we came back up to Fort William.
“My son has stayed in this cottage twice before and is going back again in two weeks.”
I stayed here last year with him and my grandson and booked this holiday with my husband and Aunt. although I told them how nice it was they couldn't believe how clean and well equipped the cottage was. A fantastic relaxing week.
“This was our second visit to the cottage as was just as beautiful as we remembered.”
The cottage has fantastic facilities with a welcome basket for when we arrived and even included treats for our dog! We booked a Tesco delivery however there are plenty of local shops and eating places if you prefer. The cottage had everything we needed with lovely big, enclosed gardens for the dog and waking up every morning to the sight of Ben Nevis was breath taking. The location was superb for exploring the area. A few seconds away from lovey walks and runs along the Caledonian Canal, we loved watching the boats go through the locks. Could also see the Jacobite train from our cottage window going past and its well worth a visit to Glenfinnan Viaduct. We went on amazing walks a few minutes drive from the cottage including Steall Waterfalls and Ben Nevis (we got half way up!) as well as Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye and Glen Coe for trips out. Will definitely be coming back as we have found this jewel of a cottage in one of the most beautiful places in Scotland we have ever been.
“The accommodation and view were brilliant.”
...well maintained clean couldn't have asked for a nicer place to be on holiday
“A wonderful cottage in the most breathtaking scenery of the Scottish highlands and in an ideal place to explore all that is Scotland's history.”
“We stayed at 10 Crown Cottages last year so we knew how good it would be.”
The cottage is in an outstanding location, has excellent facilities and level of decor and comfort and is like a home from home. Christine and Sandy have thought of everything! We have already booked for next year
“Fantastic view not to far from town and quiet.”
Cottage contained more than expected clean and well furnished. View stunning.
“The facilities and the equipment in this property were the best in 10 we have had using Sykes so if you're looking at the Fort William area of Scotland this is the one.”
You sit at night and the views from the lounge are just stunning! We went to Mallaig by railway and it's just at the bottom of the road ! If you want steam you have to book 3 weeks in advance! Plenty of eating out places if you want to!
“We had a very enjoyable stay in this stunning property.”
Extremely well kept and exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable beds and the en-suite shower is excellent with two hand grips should you need them. The photographs do not do it justice. The Views are amazing and it is only a short walk to Neptune's Staircase. Great for walking the dog and watching the boats on the canal. The enclosed back and front gardens are safe for your pet to have a wander and humans to sit in the front garden with a coffee and take in the breathtaking scenery. Fort William has a good selection of shops and is only a few minutes drive away. There are numerous eating places nearby to suit all tastes and pockets. Christine the owner is a charming lady and we would like to thank her for providing a holiday property of such a high standard.
Excellent cottage everything you need mauntain views out of this world will definitely recommend ps moorings hotel across road good food and dog friendly bar area.
“The views from this property were absolutely amazing.”
Such a nice touch to place a pair of binoculars on the windowsill so you can sit and explore the view! 100% satisfies with the accommodation and it’s facilities! Hopefully will be returning in the future!
“The views from cottage of ben nevis out of this world.”
“Excellent location and the standard of facilities and equipment in the cottage was better than I anticipated.”
Every detail had been considered.
“We thought it was brilliant!”
I thought we actually got an even better property than we were expecting. The bedrooms were of a very decent size and really nice and modern. Beautifully stunning views with a great pair of binoculars provided. Lots of extras thought of and provided - thank you for the sandwich bags especially! Easy parking; perfect location for loads of fun outdoors joys; everything provided and definitely lived up to my very high standards of cleanliness. I've stayed in loads of cottages like this and they always have a massive book for you to read about how everything in the house works and what they want you to do, which is a chore, BUT this place was much better because they just left a welcome sheet of paper and their phone number for if you need anything. Everything else was self-explanatory. THANK YOU! Only two notes for potential improvement: 1. A bigger, more comfy sofa for more people. 2. A way of making the living room and kitchen a bit warmer.
