  • "Absolutely beautiful setting with fabulous view and gorgeous coast within walking distance."

Incredibly cosy, comfortable, well equipped; furnished and maintained to a high standard, the bungalow has a well cared for and generous homely feel. We had a very relaxing holiday with our baby and toddler, who also loved all the touches around the house. We felt that it very thoughtfully combined everything a family needed with a spacious and restful setting for adults! Thanks again :)

  • "Had a great time at Westhaven."

The owners communication was really friendly and relaxed which helped put us at ease even before we arrived. Felt like a real home from home, spacious, bright and well equipped. Views are stunning. Great places to walk and swim in sea nearby. My only issue was I found the bed on the hard side and it would be great to have a mattress topper to make it a bit softer as an option for people like me with multiple aches. The others without aches found the beds ok. Booked to return again next year which says it all.

The bedrooms are well appointed with plenty wardrobe space and beds very comfy. Kitchen just the right size for property. Living room is huge with large patio doors and a wood burner which was well used during our stay. Comfy sofas and chairs.

  • "We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Westhaven - the pictures don’t do it justice!"

The accommodation was spotless and beautifully presented, and the children’s toys and books were a welcome surprise! We were very lucky with the weather and the beaches in walking distance were outstanding, but we’d have been just as happy watching the tides go in and out from the comfort of the front room. Everything has been thought of and we’re already planning a return trip.

The view is stunning and it was hard to drag ourselves away. Great location and we found lots to do round and about. Loch Morar and Silver Sand beaches so close. The owners are so helpful, and have thought of everything you might need. Loved the stained glass window in the cloakroom. One of the best properties we have stayed at in a long time . We were so lucky with the weather too. Hope to be back one day.

We were really able to relax in your beautiful comfortable cottage with the best view ever overlooking the Loch. The cottage was well equipped and nicely decorated. All our needs were catered for including teddy bear blankets! We enjoyed walks, runs, boat trip to Inverie, swims in the pool at Mallaig and in the sea! We hope to return again soon.

  • "Westhaven was everything we hoped for in a holiday home, perfectly positioned on the water’s edge and really well equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need, which is why it was rather a shock to find there was no hair dryer, rather basic I would have thought !"

We went out and bought our own . I telephoned the owner, who informed me that there had been one but it had been stolen which is rather unfortunate but shouldn’t mean that future guests are penalised. It was my only gripe though apart from that, our stay was perfect.

  • "Beautiful property situated in a fantastic position overlooking the Morar estuary."

The owners were really accommodating when I contacted them before we set off regarded a couple of questions about parking and our son wanting to spend a couple of nights in his little tent even though there was a perfectly comfortable bed in the house for him! I wish we could have met them to thank them in person, but as luck would have it they were taking a holiday at the same time (ps... Google has informed me that the grass will be green again quickly with some sunshine and rain, although I'm not wishing rain on anyone who holidays after us!) Speaking of rain, we did miss a tumble dryer to get though all that damp clothing for a family of 7 and an additional shower would have been heaven speaking as the mum who always seemed to be at the back of the queue when it came to getting ready to go out for a meal etc. but, there was always plenty of hot water even for the last one in and the lack of both these luxuries didn't put a dampner on our week away. I've been holidaying in and around Arisaig/Morar annually since my parents started bringing us over 50 years ago to stay on Peter's campsite, passing the bug on to my kids and I can honestly say that in recent years, Westhaven gets my 5 star rating compared to any other self-catering accommodation.
