  • "A really nice property in an amazing location."

The appointment was bigger than I was expecting, and was to a very high standard. The bike storage area and drying room were particularly useful for us. Thanks again for an unforgettable week

  • "The accommodation was perfect for us."

The open plan living area worked well. There was everything we needed within the property. It was very clean and comfortable. The drying room was a real bonus bearing in mind the weather we had. Would definitely consider staying again and recommending to friends. Thanks

  • "Satelite? TV came with NO INSTRUCTIONS!"

People in their70's need a bit of guidance! the wifi was good, but the info re"connecting" was WRONG. 2 days with only a car radio for news/weather forecast was NOT SATISFACTORY, especially when we wanted to climb the mountains. The property was bright and roomy, and the estate grounds were attractive BUT TAKE A MIDGIE NET!

  • "Wonderful accommodation is a beautiful scenery."

We stayed within The Merlin apartment and had a wonderful week at Achnacarry. We were blessed with sunshine and blue skies all week, which really added to our stay. I strongly recommend spending some time wandering around the area, there’s a wonderful waterfall within 20 minute walk from the apartment. Great picnic spot too. My only recommendation, more outdoor seating needed for families.

  • "We all enjoyed our week at Achnacarry."

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean and relaxing. It was unfortunate that with the current pandemic, the museum had to remain closed, we would have enjoyed learning more about the Cameron Clan. We understand why the visitor welcome packs had to be removed, but not knowing the area, it would have been useful to have some local information. On the whole, a very enjoyable holiday, despite the midges!

  • "Lovely property- Stunning location, well appointed- One of the best we've stayed in."

Prompt, friendly communication with Astie, estate manager; would definitely return.

  • "Comfortabele and clean house."

Beautiful front view. Entering the house at the back is less beautiful. You stay in the middle of the most beautiful nature. Near a beautiful lake. Very nice for walking. Far away from any facility: for a store or a pub you have to drive for at least half an hour.

  • "This 3 bedroom apartment is perfect for either a family or a group of adults sharing a holiday."

It is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. The grounds of the Achnacarry Estate are quite stunning and we spent many happy hours exploring them and taking photos. Unfortunately, the deer did not appear that week, which was a very hot one. Perhaps they were keeping cool in the woods. The waterfall is a particular delight and the Cameron Museum is well worth a visit for exhibits and information about the Cameron clan and the Jacobites. We also found the apartment ideally situated for visiting many famous historical sites. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Achnacarry and would certainly recommend it.

  • "Merlin was a beautiful apartment on a remote Scottish Estate, and it really was pretty remote, but with a car was no issue."

The wildlife that visited each evening at dusk was an absolute joy to behold. On one evening 8 large deer were grazing on the grass directly outside our windows - a real bonus. If you want to get close to nature this is definitely the place to go. Although no mobile signal the WiFi was perfect so could keep in touch via WhatsApp. Although being electronically isolated can be quite refreshing. Many thanks, will certainly look at your company again when we are looking for self catering accommodation.
