This stunning, architecturally-designed, award-winning holiday home is ideally situated close to the shores of beautiful Loch Long.

The exterior is clad in Scottish-grown larch and the impressive contemporary interior makes this a relaxed and welcoming holiday retreat.

Located in the heart of the Highlands, visitors will be awestruck by the breathtaking scenery, with its high, rugged mountains and gentle lochs.

The property is ideal for a family or group of friends, who will certainly appreciate the scenery, wildlife and tranquillity all around them.

The spacious accommodation is set over two levels, with two bedrooms at ground floor level and two on the upper floor.

The heart of the home is the open plan living area, with its high vaulted ceiling, woodburning stove and large windows that look out onto the mountains.

There is a very well-equipped kitchen with a central island and mountain views, and guests can enjoy home-cooked meals around the dining table.

Due to the efficiency of the eco-friendly heating system, this property retains heat and is very cosy throughout the year.

The village of Dornie is a short drive away and offers good local services, as well as being home to the world-famous Eilean Donan Castle, which has an excellent visitors centre and restaurant and is well worth a visit.

It's easy to venture across the Skye Bridge and explore the island, or journey further north to the rugged beauty of Applecross and dine in the award-winning inn there.

The whole area is rich in things to see and do, but at the end of an active day returning to this special cottage will be a joy!

The picturesque village of Dornie sits amidst the stunning West Highland countryside, just nine miles from the bustling village of Kyle of Lochalsh. The village itself, a walker’s paradise, offers good amenities including a village shop, a local pub and numerous walking and cycling opportunities, with stunning views of the coastline and mountainous regions beyond to be enjoyed. Nearby Kyle of Lochalsh, known as the gateway to the Isle of Skye, offers a range of shops, hotels and restaurants and boasts a busy harbour that plays host to a variety of cargo, fishing and occasional passenger vessels. Nearby Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most famous and popular sights, is perched at the end of a stone causeway on the shores of Loch Duich, whilst further south is the Glenelg Peninsula, a tranquil backwater, which is beautiful, remote and relatively undiscovered. An easy drive north of Kyle is the charming village of Plockton, famous for its palm trees, yacht-filled bay and Highland cattle which wander the streets!
