  • "Amazing location, great views in all directions and wildlife all around."

Cottage was as described and the welcome pack meant we didn't need to go out the first evening. Only thing lacking was an upstairs toilet. Would definitely consider staying there again if returning to Skye.

  • "Last year we stayed in the Hunish cottage and it was superb."

When we came home we immediately booked Erisco, since it is just the 2 of us with 2 dogs, and Hunish has so many bedrooms. We love the generous welcome package, the overall cleanliness of the place, and having someone like Klara close by if needed. Overall one of the best cottages we have stayed in.

Thank you for the feedback! We look forward to seeing you again. Kind regards Jo and Ben Property Owner

  • "Had a great stay."

The house was lovely and cosy and while the open fire wasn't needed for warmth, it made it special. Steep driveway caused an initial qualm, but we quickly got used to it.

  • "Lovely secluded location close to Uig ferry terminal which suited us."

Facilities were good. Cottage was cozy and comfortable. Decor was very dated and could do with some modernisation and beds were a little uncomfortable. It was warm and with nice views worked well for us for a short break. Appreciated the welcome pack especially for the dog! Ended help with the TV and got a very quick response which was appreciated.

Lots of places to visit and great walks in this area of Skye. House was lovely to come back too at the end of the day.

  • "We enjoyed our stay."

The cottage was perfectly comfortable. We appreciated the extras such as the welcome pack for the dog and the bottle of wine. If you like staying in remote, quiet places then we would highly recommend this cottage.

Accommodation was clean and extremely well equipped. Comfortable beds. Provided treats and other supplies for the dog. Everything you could possibly want was provided. Cleaning supplies, towels, games, toys, local information, basic essentials. Very homely and welcoming

  • "The cottage was beautifully situated and extremely well equipped."

It was so nice to have lots of the bits and pieces that make a self-catered holiday easy already thought of - cleaning spray, soap, batteries - these just make life that much simpler and mean less incidental shopping. The welcome pack has been mentioned by many previous visitors and we also really appreciated that. The doggy welcome pack was brilliant, thank you! We didn't need to use the dog bath but it was fantastic to know it was there. There are only two or three little niggles or suggestions. First, holiday rental homes often have huge freezers. I think a smaller freezer and bigger fridge might be more useful for lots for us? Just a thought. The cottage was very comfortable on the whole but the sitting room/lounge seating is pretty knackered and not great for sitting on. Luckily we had amazing weather so didn't need to much anyway. The last point, and I think this really might do with being addressed if the property is to be marketed as being dog-friendly, is that it's not secure for dogs. I completely appreciate that pets should be supervised at all times, and ours was, but even so, dogs like us are easily adept at bolting, wriggling under chicken wire fencing, getting through/under gaps in gates etc, so we were in a state of high alert every time either the front or back door was open. I reckon this could be adjusted pretty easily or - and the alternative would be perfectly reasonable! - just make it clear in the description that the property is dog-friendly IF your dog isn't young/an idiot/extremely curious/the runaway type etc. It was just a slightly stressful combination for us! These gripes aside, the place is absolutely great and I highly recommend. Thanks so much!

  • "Had an absolutely wonderful time."

It is so peaceful and quiet. Intermittent wifi meant we spent time talking and playing games. Very good walking and with the long evenings and early sunrise it meant lots of time to explore. The wind and rain on a couple of nights made you aware of how cosy the cottage was. The sheep in the garden was an extra bonus although the dogs wanted to go and play with them. The welcome pack was gratefully received.

  • "Fantastic cottage in an amazing place."

We were lucky with the weather, which was glorious, however it wouldn’t have mattered. The situation was perfect for us. Views and calmness for the adults and WiFi for the kids. Cottage was clean, cozy and fully equipped. We drove overnight and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. Plus the owners were staying up there too. Jo’s helpful tips made the holiday even more enjoyable.

  • "The cottage was a dream."

Lovely welcome pack, very comfortable and warm with good sea views. Very quiet but not too remote. The added bonus, for us as dog owners, was that one you had got the sheep out of the garde ( Easy Peasy) we had an enclosed area of over halkf an acre to excercise the dogs.

  • "The on-site staff were great - a credit to your organisation."

It was nice to have the welcome pack and to get advice on other issues. Three generations of family were at the cottage and all found things to do despite variable weather. The cottage was warm and comfortable.

  • "Lovely cottage in a beautiful spot."

We found it quite hard to find in the dark so some better directions and advice (such as bringing a torch) would have been helpful. Otherwise, had a lovely stay, the provisions were very welcome also but as we didn’t know they would be there we brought our own so some were wasted.. So, great place but just needs some extra information.
