It's well located for touring the island and close to portree for shopping. The cottage was clean and cosy with a well equipped kitchen. It was so peaceful, and we saw seals in the loch. We packed a lot into our days, their is so much to see on Skye, and hope to return to the cottage one day. Reviewed by ChristineNov 2021 "A lovely stay at a lovely property." Large garden great for our Daughter & Son in laws dog. The owners of the cottage has thought of everything, the kitchen is well equipped. Furnished to a high standard and loved the log burner it was really cosy on cold evenings. Reviewed by SusanSep 2021 "Well equipped cottage in a good location." Less than ten minutes drive to the large Co-op in Portree. Uig is ten minutes in the other direction and we can recommend the Uig Hotel for food. House is clean, comfortable and warm. Kitchen is particularly well equipped. Reviewed by GeraldineSep 2021 "The Hollows really does have everything that is needed for a family of 5 and dog away from home." The owners have thought about everything carefully and this shows. The information in the cottage, space, quality of appliances, pictures, standard of decor through to cleanliness and the secure, well kept garden all demonstrates care for the place and those who visit. It is situated on a beautiful Loch, remote yet well connected and central on the island to more easily reach the far flung places and Portree. The Isle of Skye speaks for itself but we feel we struck gold with the The Hollows. Highly recommend. Reviewed by TobyAug 2021 "Stunning location and views overlooking Loch Snizort." Skye was stunning and the location of the cottage on the loch was lovely. Cannot fault a thing! Wished it was our own home - even furnished to a high standard and we loved the log burner to cosy up after a day out in the cold. Great attention to detail and lovely welcome treats were much appreciated and a nice touch. Would recommend to family/friends Reviewed by SiobhanNov 2019 "Just had one of the best holidays ever." Such a fantastic location Reviewed by LawrenceSep 2019 "If you use the Google map to search "The Hollows" trying to find its location." The location shown on Google map is incorrect. The correct location is opposite the street. Better report that on Google so quests in the future can find the cottage easily. Everything in the cottage is perfect! Reviewed by JackJul 2019 "Cottage was beautifully done out & well equipped." Very comfortable. We felt well looked after as the next door neighbour (who looks after the cottage) called to se if everything was OK & the owners also texted us. Lovely posoition on the side of the loch & conveneient for a large co-op on the outskirts of Portree. Highly recommended. Reviewed by KathrynJun 2019 "Whilst the cottage itself was clean & tidy we had to clean the bath before it could be used." Additionally we had to clean the inside of the integrated fridge before we could use it and also several plates and cups were dirty and were put through the dishwasher before we could use them. Additionally the grass was well overgrown and thick jaggy nettles overgrown on the 3 steps to the main lawn area. The grass areas looked very unattended to and there would have been ample opportunity to have mown the grass. Would not rate the cottage at 4 stars Reviewed by GreigJun 2019 "Great holiday."
