This old mill is a very special and unique detached historical property, located in the heart of the beautiful Highlands of Scotland, on the edge of the village of Invergarry.
Aldernaig Mill was built at the turn of the 18th century as a corn mill, and was tastefully converted some years ago to provide an extremely comfortable and spacious holiday home.
Privately situated set back from the road with a driveway and mature gardens to the front, Aldernaig Mill is ideal for a family group or a group of friends to enjoy spending time together in the unspoilt beauty of the North Highlands.
At ground floor level, there is a large sociable sitting/dining room with two arm chairs and a large sofa and a dining table for all guests to sit and enjoy meals together.
This area also boasts views over the front garden and a cosy woodburning stove.
The well-equipped kitchen ensures that meals can be prepared with ease and enjoyed around the big dining table.
On the upper floor, there are four very comfortable bedrooms and the family bathroom.
The spacious garden is sheltered by mature trees along the border and visitors to the Mill will enjoy the deer and pine martins that regularly spend time there.
The area is of course bursting with wildlife and with the River Garry just a few yards away otters can sometimes be seen too.
Within an easy walk are the facilities of the local hotel, which serves food and boasts a lively pub!
The area is ideal for walkers, cyclist and fisherman and for the more adrenaline-seeking guests then the Great Glen Water Park nearby offers white water rafting and canyoning!
As a location for touring the Highlands then Invergarry is ideal as you can take the road west and visit the magical Isle of Skye or stay closer to home and follow the road along Loch Ness into Inverness and beyond.
A simply fabulous cottage in a fabulous area to ensure a fabulous holiday for all!
Four bedrooms: 2 x double (one with basin), 1 x twin, 1 x adult bunks. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Kitchen with breakfast bar. Utility. Sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove.
