We booked a week here for our Honeymoon and I have to say that Acorn Lodge did not disappoint. The lodge is very well furnished and offers a little luxury for anyone staying, the little touches go along way here. Views over Fort William and the Loch are amazing and even on a cold March evening there was nothing better than sitting out with a glass of wine. We were lucky enough to see the Pine martin one evening but found evidence of his other visits with missing peanut butter sandwiches. Only slight improvement we would suggest would be possibly adding a microwave in the future.

The property

This unique, bespoke log cabin is privately tucked away on its own elevated site in Fort William, accessed via wooden walkways and a small bridge over the river.

Luxuriously appointed throughout, this eco-friendly Fort William log cabin has been constructed using local wood to exacting standards and would suit a couple looking for that special, romantic break or a small group who want to spend quality time together in this fabulous area.

With the accommodation all on one level there is a beautiful king-size double bedroom complete with a handmade wooden bed, plus there is also a bunk bedroom with solid wooden beds, and both of these rooms have external doors.

The open plan living accommodation in this Fort William holiday cottage exudes contemporary comfort and has two sets of French doors, which open out onto a large wide balcony where you can fully appreciate the stunning open views.

Completing the stylish accommodation in your Fort William holiday home is a wet room with a state-of-the-art sauna cabin, complete with CD player and surround sound!

If you can bear to leave your fabulous Fort William cottage you will discover the vibrant town itself, with excellent shops, restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance.

The surrounding area is wonderful for walking and cycling but if you want to venture further afield why not head south into atmospheric Glencoe or book a trip on the West Highland railway line and experience a steam train ride?
