  • "Very nice compact little cottage."

Very well equipped with everything we needed (especially kitchen). Friendly owner (who stays in main house in location). Very quiet location 5-10 minutes down a hill to centre.

Good location, steps to navigate to go down into the centre of Fort William. Great to use as a base for sightseeing in the area.

  • "Lovely holiday home."

Well equipped and comfortable. Only thing to mention was very steep hill down to town. Was about a 10 minute walk down, but fairly challenging climb back up so anyone with mobility issues could find this difficult. No problem if using a car or if you don’t mind the walk. Overall great accommodation, helpful owners & would stay again.

Lovely welcome from the owners of the cottage who went out of their way to help us and make us feel welcome. Would definitely stay at Rosewood Cottage again and recommend.

  • "Very clean and welcome bottle of wine and biscuits a really nice touch."

Great location near to town. Warm and cosy and everything you needed for self catering. No cooker, but managed perfectly well with the microwave and hotplate, but plenty of restaurants a short distance away in town if you wanted to eat out or get a take away. Morrisons, Lidl and Aldi a short drive away for anything you may need. Easy 10 minute walk to station for the Mallaig train or all day parking (free for disabled) just round the corner from the station. Could not have asked for a better location as a base to see that area of Scotland. Couple of very minor personal dislikes but mentioned them at the time of staying, but in no way detered from a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely book again when staying in that area.

  • "The cottage was ideally located for Ben Nevis and exploring the local area."

Walking distance to all amenities is great. On arrival there was a bottle of wine which is a nice touch. The cottage has all the basics - I would have liked an oven but that is just a nice to have and we managed without.

John & Evelyn were brilliant hosts and helped me out of a tough spot when my car wouldn't start. I'd definitely recommend this cottage.

Would recommend Garrison West and The Stables for great food after a walk in the stunning Scittish Highlands. A meal in The Ben Nevis Inn is a must with something for everyone. Thanks for making our stay in Fort William a fantastic experience. Hopefully we will be back soon.

However, there was no oven or grill and a few hooks to hang out wet coats on would have been very useful..
