Beautiful and peaceful surroundings . Handy for touring the island by either car or bus. Local walks easy to get to. Restaurants and local pubs within walking distance. Co-op shop not far away . Great local information provided in the property. Would highly recommend this property for families and/or couples /friends to stay whilst touring the Isle of Skye . Thank you so much! Nice facilities, and reasonably roomy, though the toilet is downstairs (rather than ensuite). Host was very welcoming and notes were excellent. Would recommend. Communication about keys collection and everything else was very clear. Such a peaceful little area of town with walks just next to the house. You could hear the traffic from the bridge, but that is to be expected considering the location. A good base to explore the Isle of Skye and surrounding areas, the garden is very tranquil. Thankyou for our welcome note, and for keeping all the maps of Skye and information leaflets up to date within the home, they were really useful to help us plan our exploring. Wonderfully presented throughout with off-road parking and enclosed garden, Taigh Tearlach welcomes families of three looking to spend some time exploring the Cuillin mountains and the surrounding countryside. After a day of fell walking, kick back in the lounge and make yourself comfortable on the settee, warming up beside the woodburner and thinking about the next adventure. View on map About the location KYLEAKIN Kyle of Lochalsh 2.3 miles Kyleakin at one time was the bustling ferry terminal for visitors arriving on the Isle of Skye, but now with the Skye Bridge it is a quiet and pretty fishing village with views across the short expanse of sea to the mainland. Kyleakin has a busy local shop and hotels and is also home to the Bright Water Visitor Centre which celebrates the heritage and wildlife of nearby Eilean Ban, once home to Gavin Maxwell the well known author and naturalist famous for his book 'The Ring of Brightwater.' The Island now forms a stepping stone for the Skye Bridge.
