This detached, well-equipped cottage is set in a simply perfect location on the banks of Loch Snizort, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and the Quiraing mountain range in the distance.
The cottage is approached via a private track that leads down to a generous parking area beside the cottage and there is a conservatory to the rear, which overlooks the loch.
Not only does this provide access into the cottage, but it is also a wonderful place to sit and appreciate the fabulous views whilst enjoying an early morning cup of coffee.
Although the property is all over the ground floor, there is a small step up into the bright, open plan kitchen, with its comfortable dining area that leads through to a tastefully-presented sitting room with a single sofa bed and a welcoming open fire.
The accommodation is then completed by two smart bedrooms and a contemporary bathroom.
Woodlands Cottage is surrounded by a private, natural woodland garden, with direct access to the loch, where children will enjoy the pretty rock pools and the child-friendly shoreline.
As you can imagine, wildlife is plentiful in this rugged region and especially at the mouth of a sea loch, so visitors may be lucky enough to spot an eagle soaring overhead, or perhaps a seal basking in the water.
It is a peaceful, idyllic setting for a holiday and yet just a short drive away, the capital town of Portree provides all the necessary services, including a selection of restaurants and lively pubs.
The Isle of Skye is easily accessible and certain to enchant you, with undoubtedly some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland and, staying true to its heritage, the Gaelic language is still spoken here.
