  • "Just returned from a week here."

The house was comfortable, clean and well equipped. It is in a lovely peaceful location, we could sit for hours watching the snow covered mountains from the panoramic windows, and we often saw stags wandering past. Very handy for the station, and I recommend the walk from the house to the viaduct viewpoint.

Thank you for your comments , your description from the windows is beautiful, regards , Graham and Jane . Property Owner

Nice and clean! Garden safe for my dog. Kitchen is very modern and spacious, with lots of appliances. We had a visit from the local stags and kept up to feeding the birds ( food supplied) The house is in a quiet area away from the Glenfinnan Visitors Centre, which can be busy, but a nice place to explore.

Thank you so much , so glad you enjoyed Coire Dhuibh ! Graham and Jane. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property in an even more beautiful location!"

We really cannot fault our stay, we had everything we needed in the property for our stay, and everything we wanted to see in the highlands within a short driving distance away. The weather wasn’t too kind to us but that didn’t stop us exploring; the cottage was the best thing to come back to after a wet and windy hike in the mountains! And the calmness at night time with nothing around you, it was so peaceful. The only little tiny issue I had was the overgrown back garden; it made it difficult to clean up after the dogs and I was forever checking them for ticks. But that’s more of an inconvenience rather than a negative issue with the property. We shall be booking again for next year, for sure!

  • "The house was in a glorious setting and the house lovely However for a wooden cladded bedroom with huge windows a fan would have been helpful ."

The duvet was absolutely awful paper and polyester and a dirty mark on it then stripping the pillowcases off the pillows which were like brick were yellow stained and we all know what causes that not even pillowcase protectors The mattress was so uncomfortable and was topped with two mattress toppers! The kitchen bin was broken also I was disappointed as I thought paying 1200 for a week it would offer a bit more luxury than that It was impossible to sleep

  • "A lovely stay in this comfortable cottage."

It had everything we needed & was very clean & well equipped. The bed was comfortable, no issues at all. We always appreciate good quality linens & towels in a holiday stay & these were what we had here. The views are amazing. A lovely walk to the local Loch from the door & of course a stones throw from the famous ‘Hogwarts Express’ viaduct. If you stay here please keep the bird table topped up with the feed that’s provided, you’ll be rewarded with so many species that are hard to see in urban places. I was mesmerised!

  • "Avoid! Awful experience."

Massive issue with cheap master bed damaged cheap mattress that dipped severely in the middle along with a bellowed metal frame that not only was not screwed together cotrectly, caused mass discomfort and no sleep both for ourselves and our poor 10yr old little girl who offered to swap but equally could not. Ended up with the mattress in the floor the third night in a failed attempt to get some sleep , having raised this with the owners and sykes (who were no help at all and said it was to be resolved via ourselves and the owner) the owner sent a mattress protector that was neither use nor ornament and didn't even have anyone come into the property to even look at the bed. We could no longer justify no sleep for the family along with back ache and upset and gave in at 1am leaving 3 days early dragging our whole family a 4.5 hour drive back in the dark on no sleep. The owners claimed nothing could be done or delivered despite us checking locally that their was availability, however they were more than happy to take our £1000 for the week we had planned as a family break. You should also be made aware that there is a construction site adjacent to and opposite the property as your view ,not mentioned and many cameras all around the 'outside' of the property which was incredibly intrusive. So if you like your privacy be aware. Horrific experience and unfair outcome. We will not be the first to have had issues and we will certainly not be the last. I only hope for the sake of other innocent guests the owners despite claiming otherwise, make the necessary upgrades to the bedrooms ( having been previously told a single bed was an issue and replaced it same day) so that no one else suffers the disgusting outcome we and our young children have

I didn’t really want to respond to this , but I will . The gentleman knows we tried everything to resolve the situation (we only found out through a very abusive call to my partner Jane on Tuesday that there was a problem). We’ve had no complaints about the bed before , in fact a revue saying how comfortable it is. Buying and getting things delivered in the highlands is not a overnight thing . A bed in Argos was the cheapest one and not at all good enough. Our handyman purchased a Silent night double topper which they complained about again. Both our handyman and a lady from the station went in and tried the bed and topper out and came back with 100% satisfaction . I would not worry about the bed , it is a steel frame and does have a slight creak occasionally , but not to the over exaggerated way the gentleman has said about everything. In fact he and his wife said while speaking to our handyman Jamie that if he spoke to us would he mention the bed creeks , to which his wife said ‘that’s a bit harsh’ and he said yes just let them know. 3 Cameras are there for security and insurance purposes , please read the other references and hopefully our guest book and signpost. I think you’ll then get the gist of this complaint. Sykes have also been great through out this , having seen the photos and video of the bed , Graham and Jane. Property Owner

Some advice for those visiting with dogs - 1. The fence around the enclosed garden area is not secure for small dogs. 2. Our dogs did not enjoy navigating the metal steps to the front door. 3. Take a tic removing tool.

  • "A very cosy chalet style accommodation, set in beautiful surroundings with the most amazing views."

We had three dogs and managed different walks every day. Although the gardens are not enclosed, it was safe to let dogs wander under supervision with plenty of security lighting round the property. All the bedrooms had plenty of hanging and drawer space, kitchen very well equipped, even though it took us a good hour to find the cutlery drawer!! A really spacious, warm and comfortable property, but don’t forget your wellies! When it rains, it rains!!!!!

Hi , thank you for your comments . Just a quick word to say , come the end of March 2022 there will be a large fenced off secure area for the doggy’s , plus a fence along the full extent of the main road ! It will be great if you have a doggy like ours who tends to like to wander ! Thanks again , Jane and Graham. Property Owner

The cottage exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed seeing the deer which visited at least once per day to feed on the grass out front. Great walks in the area and some lovely beaches just up the coast. Favourites were the Nevis Range Gondola and walks, the Steall Waterfall & wire rope bridge and the hill walk from Glenfinnan Station to the Glenfinnan Viaduct (great views).
