  • "Can't fault it whatsoever."

Beautiful property in a beautiful part of the world. There was even an xbox which kept the kids occupied on rainy days.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. Glad you enjoyed staying at Lochside and also the beauty of the area. Property Owner

  • "The place was great, very clean, very well equipped and spacious while being cosy."

The house is warm as well - we went when there was a snow storm, and never felt the cold, but got the amazing snowy views. The hosts have taken on the feedback of other guests, below there is a review commenting placing an armchair in the bedroom. When we went there is now an amazing armchair, big enough for 2 people. I had lots of cuddles with my baby looking out on an amazing view. It is not in the pictures and wanted to mention it as it was a big highlight for us.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay and the snuggles with your baby Property Owner

  • "The photos of the surroundings do not do it justice, it is absolutely beautiful by the Loch side."

The house itself was wonderful, very spacious, clean and modern. Our only suggestion is the main front bedroom is massive with a lovely view, we think even though there is a king size bed in it, we feel it would benefit from having a much more luxurious bed which would suit such an amazing room. It feels very empty as a room with no TV or furniture apart from a swivel cuddle chair. This is by no means a complaint! It is a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We found the location great, just outside of Spean Bridge not far from Ben Nevis, Fort William, Fort Augustus or even Inverness is within reach.

Thanks for your lovely comments and we are so glad you enjoyed the area and the house. We will have a think about the bedroom as you are right in that the views are beautiful. Thanks again. Sarah and Anil Property Owner

  • "Absolutely loved it here!"

Myself and 4 others stayed for 2 nights so we could climb Ben Nevis and have a comfortable base to come back to. The original plan was to eat out both nights but the setting and the facilities were just too lovely not to take advantage of so we stayed in. Everything as described if not better and would love to return! Thank you

Delighted you enjoyed your stay and that you managed Ben Nevis. Hopefully, the sky was clear and you had great views. Sarah and Anil Property Owner

  • "Our stay was amazing!"

The House was well kitted out and comfortable allowing 6 adults to enjoy a holiday and not feel like they were on top of each other. The views from the main bedroom and living room were beautiful of Loch Lochy ☺️ and the location for sight seeing was good! Only slight downside we were unable to get a taxi to Spean Bridge as no companies went as far as the house and there were no takeaways, but we made the most of the kitchen in the house instead of eating out. Overall we would recommend the house 100% to anyone and everyone ☺️

Glad you loved the views from the house and made most of it and the enjoyed the sight seeing. Sarah and Anil Property Owner

  • "Great property."

Very clean and comfortable. Very well equipped. Quite yet very close to the main A82 for accessibility. Views from the property outstanding. The bedrooms especially the main were huge and with the lovely carpet throughout had a very premium feel. There was a small problem with the two ensuite showers but a phone call to the owner Sarah and they were both sorted the very next day. A really enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. A place you look forward to returning after a day's exploring in stunning Scotland.

  • "Lovely property in a beautiful setting."

Very well equipped & spotlessly clean. The decor & furnishings are exceptional and the small touches of hand soap, hand sanitizer & shower gel were very much appreciated. We were also left milk & Tunnocks chocolate tea cakes which were enjoyed by all. Excellent location for the various site seeing places in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our holiday.

Thank you Joyce for your lovely comments about the house. We are delighted you had such a lovely holiday. With best wishes Sarah & Anil Property Owner

Shower in ensuite leaked, toilet seat loose, heating wasn't working, owner sent instructions to sort it out but no luck so gave up, location great and my niggles may have been fixed, it's a well equipped property in a good position but access to the loch is not easy

We are pleased you enjoyed the location and the property. We are sorry for the niggles that you experienced. It was the cleaning company you had contacted and they notified us on the day of your departure, and our arrival for our holiday. We are happy to say the small remedial works to the shower and toilet have been easily rectified. Sadly, the heating was not working due to a leak behind the radiator leaking into the lounge area below which is currently being fixed. Again, apologies for the unexpected inconvenience. • "Property was very clean and comfortable, but somewhat characterless."

The listing doesn't make clear that this is the end unit in a 6-unit block. The view from the large master bedroom is lovely but from the living area is uninspiring. One significant missing feature is a clothes dryer; it has a washing machine but the weather and temperature made drying clothes difficult indoors or outdoors. Good base for an adventure holiday, not so much of a destination in itself. Private access to the loch is nice; a bit of a walk but if you have a 4wd you can drive to the loch shore.

Thank you for your feedback. We feel the images clearly show that this is a very small number of properties together and will look to adding some words to make this clearer. Views are always subjective as we love the view of the woodland and the beautiful mountains range in the background from the living area in contrast to the stunning loch view from the upstairs. • "The description of the holiday cottage implies that you can sit at the dining table, throw open the patio doors and admire the loch view."

This description is not accurate, you cannot see the loch from the sitting area because of the trees and you certainly cannot see any part of the loch from the dining table. We booked the cottage partially because we would be able to see the loch whilst dining, so a bit disappointing. However views from the first floor bedrooms were spectacular and the overall cottage excellent despite not generally overlooking the loch. We may in future book one of the cottages that actually face the loch.

Thank you for your feedback which is always welcome. We have been in communication with Sykes to ensure that it is clear that it is not the inside dining table that looks onto the loch but the outside table. At different times of the year we have varying views of the loch from the lounge due to the beautiful surrounding woodland which is full of wildlife. We have other views from the lounge and occasionally seen a stag right outside the window. We are so glad that you enjoyed the spectacular views from the main bedroom. Sarah and Anil Property Owner

  • "Generally good facilities."

The one exception was the lack of hot water on the morning of my daughter's special birthday. This was reset by Maintenance later in the day but got us off to a bad start. We were grateful that both the Maintenance company and Sarah, the owner, responded quickly. It was a shame as we loved the rest of our time there and would stay there again. The house is beautiful and the setting by the loch is amazing.

We are very happy that would you would consider returning and for your positive comments. Again, apologies the water went off after the power cut and we were pleased that you were happy we responded so quickly. Sarah & Anil Property Owner
