  • "We enjoyed our stay at the Croft House."

The pull cord in the upstairs bathroom was missing so we had to use a nightlight during the night. We reported this to the agent but he was unable to get an electrician during our stay. The IPad which controlled the heating was also not working. We tried to put the used linen into bags when we left as requested but there weren’t any. Some of the saucepans were dirty which was unfortunate. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.

  • "We absolutely loved everything about this off the beaten trail gem!"

Waking up to water and wildlife views was exactly what we were looking for. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

We are absolutely delighted that you have enjoyed the location, the scenery and the house, which is indeed far away from any daily hustle and bustle. We also really appreciate that you have shared your views, thank you. Property Owner

  • "We didn’t want to leave!"

It was beautiful and a perfect place to stay to feel like we experienced the Isle of Skye. It was well-stocked, which was good, as it was quite a ride into town… dodging sheep on the road is part of the charm! Thank you for sharing your place with us.

  • "Although the property was very nice and comfortable it could have done with a few extra bits and pieces in the kitchen to enable us to prepare a cooked meal."

For example garlic press, serving spoons, only one wine glass provided. The oven operational manual was missing and no bin collection calendar as stated on the guide left in the house. Unfortunately we left the wheelie bins full as we didn’t know which to put out and when. These were all minor issues and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with phenomenal views over to the Western Isles. Many thanks

  • "I have been visiting Skye from the age of 3 due to my late Father being born on the island so it was wonderful to return after many many years."

(I'm in my sixties now). The Croft House is superb. It was lovely to enter a warm house after a thirteen hour drive. The house was beautifully clean and we liked having a separate lounge and dining area. The kitchen was lovely with modern appliances. The views from the front of the house are spectacular. We would definitely choose The Croft House should we return to Skye. For anyone visiting in the cooler climate wanting to wash their clothes, a heated airer would be a good idea in the property.

  • "The cottage was very well presented and equipped."

It had plenty of space for a family of four to do their own thing when they wanted to but was also cozy when you wanted it to be. The view was spectacular and some nice walks straight from the door, especially to the lighthouse. It was very peaceful but the local shops were easy to reach and had more than enough to keep you going. Absolutely nothing negative to say - even the broadband was fast and easily coped with two teenagers streaming Netflix.

  • "The MOULD in the downstairs shower room definitely needs to be sorted out, it’s all in the shower on the tiles & ceiling, not nice at all… The sofa in the living room has seen better days, uncomfortable…."

There was nothing to play music on (no CD player)we do not use tv for this as sound quality poor when playing music… Needs more LOCAL info, maybe some wildlife books & maps that are usually in other places we have stayed.. To get the tv to work we had to keep a window open to get signal, only found this out by reading a small comment in the visitor book…. A tray to carry food would be good and an obvious chopping board required. It’s a nice place, but we felt it was lacking some personal touches to make it a home from home, that we have experienced in other cottages…

Dear Sir, thank you very much for your comments which are well received and are very useful. With regard to the downstairs shower room and upstairs bathroom, these are both programmed to be refurbished early next year (am aware this does not help you). With regard to the mould in the downstairs shower room - I was very surprised, but we are sorting this out. Information and items mentioned, good to know and will be provided as soon as possible. Despite the shortcomings we do hope you have enjoyed your stay and the view from the cottage. Many thanks William Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, fully equipped with everything you could need and Glendale is a lovely peaceful area."

View at the front is beautiful. Lovely local walks round the area with plenty of wildlife/birds to see and Neist Point just a short drive away. Highly recommend Cafe Lephin and Jann's in Dunvegan (if anyone is a celiac both do gluten free) Three Chimneys Restaurant for a special treat is also very good. We very much enjoyed our visit and just what we wanted for our honeymoon. It was our first visit to The Isle of Skye! It won't be our last. M&R

  • "Great quiet side of NW Skye with some stunning views."

Fabulous comfortable cottage with modern facilities, wi-fi and two bathrooms. Bathroom upstairs with overhead shower and good sized toilet with shower cubicle downstairs. Peaceful location, away from the frantic side of Skye but Portree only 40 mins away. Neist Point, 2 miles up the coast is worth a visit any time of the day but great for the setting sun. Plenty opportunity to see the stars on a clear night as there is very little light pollution. Twinkling lights on the horizon are the Western Isles. You really feel you are getting away from it all.

  • "The Croft house is in a fabulous location with terrific views!"

We had a delightful stay. The cottage is modern and very comfortable it is well equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated. There is a very nice garden with a picnic table and we enjoyed lunch outside several times. We also enjoyed lunch whilst sitting at the window seat being entertained by the eagles, buzzards and hawks as they flew around Loch Poolteil. The wildlife here is amazing we saw seals and otters on the skerries by the pier and rabbits and some field mice sharing the grazings surrounding the cottage with the friendly sheep. We enjoyed local walks from the door every day, including Neist point lighthouse and the Lephin cafe (which has delicious home baking). We can’t wait to return to the Croft house!

  • "Hot water is an issue - not enough in the tank for a single bath."

    Otherwise, very good.

Dear, Thank you very much for your feedback. Is appreciated. Indeed, we had experienced the same on the hot water issue ourselves and have addressed this. We have installed a new boiler and I can safely say that there is now sufficient hot water all around and also to fill the bath. Thank you and kind regards, the owner. Property Owner
