  • "I really enjoyed my stay at cozy cottage."

The name perfectly describes the property, as it was one the cozyest retreat that one can wish for, sourronded by nature and at the heart of Highlands. The hosts were extremely hospitable and kind . They greeted me personally on my arrival and gave me a warm welcome. They also followed up later and checked wherher everything is going well. Finally they went above and beyond on the last day of my trip when I came back from my long hike by generously offering me food and drink, so I could have aome food and rest. Overall I loved my experience at Cozy cottage and I would return whenever o am back in the he area.

  • "Very happy with our stay - weather apart!"

At the time of booking we were somewhat concerned about one very negative review. It proved to be rubbish. Hosts great and not in your face in any way. Could have been a more picturesque immediate setting but very happy with our stay overall.

  • "The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed."

We were particularly impressed with how clean it was. The owner, Sue, came round to see us after a couple of days and was very helpful. The area surrounding the cottage is one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland we've experienced. The only slight criticism is that from the listing we expected to be able to sit outside the cottage with views of the river and this was not the case. However, this did not spoil what was a very enjoyable holiday.

  • "The area is lovely, but the cottage is rundown and grubby."

The equipment in the kitchen, kettle, microwave, toaster, washing machine, even the sink, ALL have seen better days. The temperature control on the shower was stiff, really hard to adjust the temperature, so as not to be scalded, or frozen. And there are an inadequate number of night storage radiators. The bathroom had a hot air heater, and the two bedrooms had no heating at all.

Very quiet in a very pretty part of Scotland, lots of nice local walks. A nice local hotel/bar and cafe close by. Need to be prepared with food if self catering only a small Spa locally, main supermarkets in Inverness 26 miles.

Spotlessly clean too. Nice area for sitting out and easy parking. Fresh eggs and homemade tablet also supplied which was a nice surprise. Hosts lovely and friendly without being intrusive. Will recommend to others.

  • "Cosy Cottage is a warm & comfortable place to stay in this beautiful corner of Scotland."

The owners are next door & whilst friendly & willing to help with any queries they are not intrusive in any way. This is an excellent area for hiking & cycling. We hired electric bikes from the Loch Ness Hub in Drumnadrochit & had a great time exploring the many beautiful glens & forest trails, all from the cottage door. It was good to come back to a homely cottage after a long day out. The freshly laid eggs from the owners hens were a treat along with the Scottish tablet left for us - delicious & much appreciated. Thank you.

  • "Cosy Cottage is a gem, tucked away in a wonderful corner of the Highlands."

It is small, but perfect for two, with good quality, comfortable fittings and everything needed in bathroom, kitchen and living rooms. From Kerrow it's easy to get to the most stunning parts of Glen Affric, to Plodda Falls, and the other local glens. 2 Munro summits give a good day's walk, with many more if you're ambitious! For me, a bonus was the truly dark night skies, with opportunities to photograph the Milky Way. If the weather is poor, it's less than an hour's drive to the Moray Firth coast which is often sunny and has lovely places to explore. Congratulations to Sue and Eddie for keeping a lovely cottage.

The owners were great and waited on us in Cannich to show us where the cottage was after we got confused with the directions. We should have trusted the sat nav! • "The cottage was great and we had a great time, the owners are lovely and friendly and so helpful if you need them, they make you so welcome and nothing is any trouble for them."

The name 'Cosy Cottage' is perfectly apt as it is cosy with the log fire, beds are very comfortable and the cottage was very clean and well equipped. The scenery and area is amazing, lots of places to visit and see as well as the wildlife of stags, deer etc, lovely walks, waterfalls and the snowfall made it so magical. We thoroughly loved it and would certainly recommend it. Only problem we had were your directions which were very confusing when they could be so much simpler...i.e. coming from Beauly as you enter Cannich go through the traffic lights and turn immediately left, follow this road to the corner which is signposted right to Tomich, turn right onto this road and follow the single track lane for about a mile, when you pass the farm machinery parked up on the left, turn right into the closed metal farm gate which is marked Balquidda Farm where Cosy Cottage is located past the farmhouse. From the A831 from Drumnadrochit, as you enter Cannich turn left at the corner onto the road marked Tomich and follow as above. The reference to the green tin roof is no good in the dark, snow or frost!. It took us about 45 mins once we reached Cannich to actually find the cottage and had to ask several people and ring the owner eventually and better directions would be a good start .
