“This was the best accommodation I've stayed in.”

The house was immaculate and had everything you needed plus arrival welcome goodies. Ideal location for exploring Skye and Kintail. Definitely would recommend it.

The cottage

Hidden away within the village centre of Kyle of Lochalsh, is this white stone cottage.

This delightful property has been completely renovated to provide a stunning base for families or friends alike to explore this picturesque part of the Scottish Highlands, promising a relaxing retreat.

After a busy day exploring, you and your loved ones can curl up within the sitting room, where you will be charmed by the contemporary combination of the wooden flooring and large leather sofas.

Let's not forget the fabulous electric fire to give the property that added bit of warmth of an evening.

Beyond here, is a well-appointed, open-plan kitchen and dining room, housing all the appliances you could need to rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal, with wooden units and sleek granite worktops showcasing this excellent finish.

The dining area has seating for four people and makes for the perfect spot to enjoy a family meal together.

A twin bedroom completes the ground floor rooms, and would be ideal for those with limited mobility.

Follow the steps up to the first floor, boasting a large double bedroom and a family bathroom, with a large bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day.

To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed lawned garden, with a patio area with furniture, so you can sit out with a refreshing beverage and watch the sunset.

Kyle of Lochalsh is ideally situated for exploring the nearby towns and village offering plenty of sites to be seen.

For a taste of history, venture towards Caisteal Maol, a ruined 15th-century castle, perched on a hilltop and offering picturesque views across the loch andbeyond.

Eilean Bàn is a small island, accessed via the Sky bridge connecting the Kyle of Lochalsh and Skye together.

It spans across six acres of land with a secluded lighthouse and pathways for walking, cycling and viewing the local wildlife.

25 Langlands Terrace is a delightful retreat for families and friends on the coast of Scotland.

About the location

KYLE OF LOCHALSH

Isle of Skye 1 mile; Inverness 80 miles.

A bustling town in Wester Ross, Kyle of Lochalsh lies on the shores of Lochalsh and is best known as the gateway to the Isle of Skye. It offers a range of shops, hotels and restaurants and boasts a busy harbour that plays host to a variety of cargo, fishing and occasional passenger vessels. Nearby, is Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most famous and popular sights, perched at the end of a stone causeway on the shores of Loch Duich. Further south is the Glenelg peninsula - a tranquil backwater which is beautiful, remote and relatively undiscovered. Travelling north from Kyle is the picturesque village of Plockton, famous for its palm trees, cottages grouped around a yacht-filled bay and Highland cattle which wander the streets! Finally, cross the Skye Bridge to Skye itself and explore all that the “mystical isle” has to offer.
