The property

Westhaven House is a spacious semi-detached house situated next to the owner's home on the edge of the pretty village of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye.

Located on the banks of the River Obbe and within easy access of the excellent local facilities, this comfortable house is ideal for a family or group of friends who want to explore the magical Isle of Skye and the west coast mainland.

Well-appointed throughout and with plenty of space, there are three bedrooms on the first floor all with their own private en-suite facilities.

The ground floor boasts a well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with dining area, where meals can be prepared with ease, while the sitting room has a cosy open fire and comfortable seating.

The garden room provides another space for relaxation with its double doors that open onto a large decked patio overlooking the garden.

The private lawned garden is an ideal place to enjoy a summer's evening barbecue or just relax with a refreshing drink whilst planning the next day’s activities.

The friendly local facilities are just a short stroll away and a short trip across the Skye Bridge leads to the bigger village of Kyle of Lochalsh with its enhanced services and facilities.

A walk across the Skye Bridge is highly recommended as the views from the Bridge are spectacular.

Kyleakin is ideally situated for guests who not only want to explore the magical Isle of Skye but who also want to venture along the pretty west coast mainland and perhaps visit villages such as Plockton or the world famous castle at Eilean Donan.

This holiday home ticks all the boxes and a fantastic base from which to explore all the Isle of Skye has to offer.

About the location

Kyle of Lochalsh 2.5 miles;

Kyleakin at one time was the bustling ferry terminal for visitors arriving on the Isle of Skye, but now with the Skye Bridge it is a quiet and pretty fishing village with views across the short expanse of sea to the mainland.

Kyleakin has a busy local shop and hotels and is also home to the Bright Water Visitor Centre which celebrates the heritage and wildlife of nearby Eilean Ban, once home to Gavin Maxwell the well known author and naturalist famous for his book 'The Ring of Brightwater.' The Island now forms a stepping stone for the Skye Bridge.

Buses run regularly from Kyleakin across the bridge to the busy village of Kyle of Lochalsh..
