    The lodge was very clean and tidy on our arrival, and was well equipped with everything we needed. The lodge is bigger on the inside than it appears in the pictures and it was ideal for our week's stay for three adults. The area and setting is absolutely stunning. We hope to be back sometime soon

This quaint, two bedroom, single-storey lodge sleeps up to four guests and has stunning, expansive views of Loch Lochy and the Caledonian Canal from its front decked area.

After an action-packed day exploring the Highlands, settle into the plush sofa in the open-plan living space and flick on your favourite DVD, stay here while the designated chef whips up a tasty meal in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Enjoy this at the dining table with seating for all the group or head outside to the decking for a spot of alfresco dining while marvelling at the beautiful views across to Loch Lochy.

When the sun sets, travel inside and choose one of two bedrooms; there is a double and a twin room serviced by a sleek shower room where you can get some well-earned rest before another busy day in Scotland.

2 Glen Garry overlooks the Caledonian canal and Loch Lochy and provides a variety of riverside walks, whereas Loch Lochy affords stunning views and wild swimming opportunities.

Head to the village of Invergarry to explore the impressive castle, the village also hosts a store to ease your self-catered stay and the local Invergarry Hotel where you can enjoy tasty pub food with a breath-taking view.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element as the Cairngorms National Park is just a scenic drive from the lodge and provides a plethora of walks and trails including more challenging hikes up Ben Macdui.

Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Britain, is also in close proximity and provides more hiking opportunities as well as ice climbing and views over the glacial valley.

Fort Augustus 7.5 miles; Fort William 24.5 miles.

The village of Invergarry is situated in a peaceful location, next to the River Garry. The village offers a hotel, ruins of Invergarry Castle and a pine wood. On the first Saturday in July the Invergarry Highland Games take place, plus the Great Glen Way passes through Invergarry allowing walkers to travel from Fort William to Inverness without ever setting foot on a road. Within driving distance is Fort Augustus, which is set at the southwest end of Loch Ness, on a stretch of the Caledonian Canel, and offers a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst other places to visit in the area include the towns of Fort William and Aviemore
