It has full range of information on the local area with maps for walking, details for dining out, places of interests worth visiting and if staying indoors good books to read as well as an excellent wi-fi link. If anything else is required both Jenny and Heather are only a phone call away.

"This is a well run property, well equipped, spotlessly clean and with everything one desires whilst away from home."
The Church members who run it, particularly Mrs Jenny Wiseman are very attentive to the needs and comfort of the holidaymakers who stay there. Philp Roberts.
"The cottage is perfectly clean without feeling clinical, is thoughtfully and practically equipped, and tastefully decorated, all reflecting the thoughtfulness and friendliness of the lovely lady who runs it."
Useful details like maps and books, as well as excellent instructions for use of everything in the cottage all made for a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable experience. We can’t wait to go back again!
"A very comfortable cottage, very well equipped and with great attention to detail."
We appreciated the personal contact from the owner's representative, who was most helpful. It was also very good to find maps and details of local walks and things to do in the area. Highly recommended.
"Great location in Poolewe village."
Good location for walkers. House was immaculately clean and tidy and had all the facilities needed for a very comfortable and relaxing week in the area.
"Church House is a beautifully maintained modern bungalow, with everything necessary for a comfortable stay in Poolewe."
Everything was fresh and clean, well equipped and thoughtful details all around. It's our third visit here and we really hope to be able to return.

"Very comfortable cottage in a lovely location with all the facilities we needed for our short break."
Thank you for your review. Much appreciated. Property Owner
"We were given a very friendly welcome - a lovely cottage conveniently situated in the centre of Poolewe, close to the superb village shop and two excellent cafes."
The hotel with bar is very close and of course Inverewe Gardens are within walking distance. We highly recommend this property.
"We found the cottage to be an excellent and comfortable base for our modest travels around the area."
Also all possible covid precautions were in place and these were clear and concise. We were also most fortunate to meet the proprietor in person and found her to be a gracious and lovely, kind lady :-)
"Absolutely perfect cottage for a relaxing holiday."
Host made sure there was a light on for our arrival, and checked in on day 1 to make sure we had everything we needed. The decor and facilities were lovely and have no hesitation in recommending the cottage. Five stars first class. We will be back.
"Our visit to Inverewe Garden was really very good, and our Dailly drives to ..."
Our visit to Inverewe Garden was really very good, and our Dailly drives to remote places of the beaten track, the view's are stupendous
"Church House is a delightful compact cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay."
The property was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the main room was warm and cosy. The smart TV and Wi-Fi worked fine and were very useful on cold wet evenings. The local area is stunning and we had a lovely weeks break. Would thoroughly recommend the property.
"Lovely cottage in Poolewe."
We loved staying here and were sad to leave. The cottage was spotless and had hand sanitiser at the front door for us to use. Although some things have had to be removed due to Covid it still had everything that we needed. Great communication from the owner before and during our stay. Poolewe is lovely and we drove to lots of lovely areas round about for walks and beaches. A particular highlight for us was a Boat trip in Gairloch where we were lucky to see lots of dolphins close up. We also loved Inverewe Gardens and the Gairloch Museum. We hope to visit Church House again soon.
"The local contact for Church House was exceedingly helpful before and throughout our stay."
Thank you so much. I am really struggling to find anything to suggest by way of improvements.
"Third time at this property, which speaks for itself."
Was pleased to find SmartTV had been installed. Felt assured that all precautions regarding Covid-19 safety had been taken. Beautiful area which never ceases to amaze.
"A lovely and comfortable cottage in the village of Poolewe."
The owner has gone to great lengths to make sure the property is COVID safe. We had a minor problem with the Wi-fi when there, but the owner was able to help us out, and that’s now been rectified. Highly recommend if you’re after a comfortable and well-equipped base from which to explore this beautiful corner of Scotland.
"The TV pixels on all stations were continually breaking up and WiFi connection was very slow."
Probably because of the location with surrounding hills. With incessant rain and no tv we decided to cut short our break 2 days early. While the cottage was comfortable the facilities (eg night storage heaters) were fairly basic and to charge circa £650 for the week - or in our case 5 days - was excessive.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the TV had some issues during your stay. In order to rectify this, we are installing a Freesat system and a smart TV at the property. We hope this did not impact on your stay too much and would be happy to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner
"The owners paid every attention to making sure it was safe and we had everything we needed."
The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. When there was a small problem they responded immediately. Highly reconmmend this cottage.
"Peaceful location yet within a few hundred yards of village shop and hotel."
Good base for walking and/or touring the area.
"Excellent comprehensive facilities."
Good location to explore area but relax as well. Made very welcome by all.
"A spotlessly clean cottage with welcoming hosts."
Very comfortable with plenty of space for storing our outdoor and camping gear, also room outside and a washing line for drying things off. We would definitely come again
"The cottage was exactly as described with one or two little extras thrown in ,small bottle of milk ,pack of shortbread etc small things I know but nice all the same ."
It was ready and cleanliness was excellent .The parking space was in a gated yard in front of the cottage . Suitable parking is important to me and this could not be any better..Jenny answered a couple of questions I had quickly by email .The only downside was the slow WiFi .It was good enough to load basic information and in fact adequate for my use .but not fast enough to run a game for instance .This was not a problem for me but if a fast internet connection is vital to you it could be a problem .Other than that great.Handy shop across the road .We thought it was very good value. Electricity thrown in as well. Whats not to like.
"Very comfortable cottage with everything needed for self catering."
Ideally situated in Wester Ross - both for visiting other places or for having a restful time in beautiful surroundings.
"It was a comfortable cottage to spend a day in during the rain and a welcoming place to come back to after a day's walking."
Good kitchen facilities. Nice open view from windows too.
"Kitchen could do with being bigger and a better shower apart from that all good"
"Peaceful, relaxing stay in a well located and very well equipped house."
"This was our 5th visit and it was just as good as the 1st."
"Sykes Cottages came to our rescue, at a days notice and found us this great property in the area we wanted."
