  • "This cottage provided absolutely everything we could have needed."

It was the perfect base for us to use while we climbed, sea-kayaked and generally enjoyed the local restaurants and pubs to recover after our exertions. The rooms were well appointed and exceptionally comfortable, and the house was large enough to give everyone some personal space so we didn't feel we were on top of one another. After a very friendly phone call with the owner we arrived to find a generous welcome pack of goodies and offers of any help we might have needed. This is the first time so many of the family have come up to Skye together, and this is why we looked for a large cottage, but I should be very tempted to re-book even if our party consisted of just me! I cannot recommend this property highly enough. It was simply wonderful. Thank you.

No problems at all, and a very nice house. Was expecting less than I got. Everybody wants to rent the same house again next year:)

This was our 2nd trip to the Isle of Skye and it won't be our last. Thanks Sykes.

  • "We had a lovely warm welcome, the owner answered all of our questions and queries about places to see."

The quality of furnishings and the equipment in the kitchen was of a high standard as well as the linen and towels. It is by far one of the cleanest holiday rentals I have come across. There were 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 9 years to 14 years and we were very comfortable here. It feels like a home not a holiday place straight away. We loved the area too.

An excellent base for visiting the Northern parts of the Isle of Skye: Dunvegan Castle, Uig Pottery, Skye Skyens and Talisker Distillery - something for everyone!
