"Cute, clean place in a very convenient location."
We enjoyed a basket of goodies left for us as well as a nice kitchen with cookware in much better shape than many rentals we have stayed in. The bedroom toward the back has windows that open towards rentals across the street that have decks and porches facing them, so if you are a light sleeper you will want to stay in the room at the front of the house whose windows open toward the quiet neighborhood that the Hideout is located in. Unfortunately the shower handle that controls the temperature was missing (I assume it has been broken and taken off). We were unable to adjust the temperature of the shower, which unfortunately only put out water that was much too hot for some of our party. Overall we had a very nice stay but for a problem like the shower being broken I would have expected the owner or management company to reach out before our arrival.
"Fabulous little cottage in a great location."
The facilties were first rate and the welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. The only thing missing was a mirror in the bedroom but this was a very small thing that we managed without.
"The Hideout is perfectly placed, with a short walk into the beautiful Portree."
The cottage has everything you could need for your stay, well maintained and a homely feel. You lovely welcome hamper to use while reading about the Island. Would definitely recommend to anybody wishing to visit the island with a small family and a dog.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay! Have a wonderful summer and we hope to see you again on the island. Property Owner
"Very comfortable place, close to Portree town centre."
The welcome snacks were a nice touch. Very homely and spacious for 4 people and 2 dogs. Will stay again.
"Beautiful house in Skye!"
Very well decorated, spacious and equipped for all of our needs. Easy to find, park and walk a few minutes to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend. Small issue with shower prior to our stay that was addressed and well communicated.
"The cottage was clean and well equipped, there was a travel cot, bath bath and high chair that were not listed."
The cottage was a very short walk into town and accessible to main roads that took you round the island. We found one sofa uncomfortable as one cushions had no support. The other negative was no enclosed garden for children or guests dogs. We walked our dogs regularly but we still had to clean up in the garden after a residents dog visited regularly. Not nice. On the whole the cottage was lovely and we thorougly enjoyed our stay.
"Really enjoyed staying in such a comfortable home with close access to the local shop and portree high street."
Very clean. Loved having a wood burner in the evenings
Hello, I’m so pleased you enjoyed your time in our little family hideout. Hope to see you back in Portree again soon! Best wishes, Dulcie. Property Owner
"I am a return customer, my stay was good, and comfortable, I did repair the front fence when it blew sown with the wind, it is worthwhile giving it a check!"
My stay was fine
Hello, I’m so pleased you had a comfortable stay and thank you for letting me know about the fence, it was very generous of you to fix it. It sounds like you had a stormy visit! We will go and take a proper look at it. Very best wishes and hope to see you back in Portree soon. Dulcie. Property Owner

Sitting in a peaceful location a short walk from Portree centre on the Isle of Skye is this charming, semi-detached cottage, Mill Park.
A single-storey property with a mix of traditional and contemporary interior, the cottage is perfect for a family of four looking for home comforts whilst they explore the Isle of Skye.
Mill Park has off-road parking for two cars on a gravelled driveway, making for a quick and easy arrival; take the side entrance into the welcoming hallway, kick off your shoes, and get settled into the open-plan living space.
The kitchen has plenty of space to unpack your shopping, including an American-style fridge/freezer, and is well-equipped for cooking your favourite meals in a lovely, contemporary setting with a breakfast bar seating four guests.
A spacious utility room can be found next door, which can be accessed via the back door with a wooden bench for taking off muddy boots, and a washing machine and tumble dryer to chuck in dirty clothes after a long walk.
A long day exploring calls for a peaceful evening in the sitting room, where you can close off the space with the curtains to make it even more snug, start the woodburning stove and enjoy a film on the Smart TV, or settle into the sofa with a good book.
With two ground-floor bedrooms, Mill Park offers guests pleasant rooms to unwind in, with minimal décor and built-in storage space in a king-size and a twin.
A smart, contemporary shower room is just across the hall, with a delightful walk-in shower to rinse off the day whilst your towel warms up on the heated towel rail.
Mill Park has two outdoor spaces; a rear patio and a front garden with a lawn area, perfect for a picnic in the sunshine before heading into Portree, only a few minutes walk away.

With plenty of walking routes, the town is within reach of fantastic Isle of Skye attractions, such as Trotternish Ridge for dramatic rock formations and the crystal clear waters of the Fairy Pools for tranquil swimming.
Sligachan is to the south of Mill Park and an ideal location for those seeking the great outdoors at the Sligachan Waterfalls and Red Cullen viewpoint, whilst the small settlement offers a bar & grill to fuel your day.
Head north for Staffin to try delicious seafood at the Skye Seafood Market, discover ancient fossils at the Staffin Ecomuseum and walk the spectacular path to Staffin Harbour & An Corran Beach.
Dunvegan is a popular location to the west of Isle of Skye, surrounded by incredible coast and woodlands, where Dunvegan Castle & Gardens is a must-see, as well as the Giant Angus Macaskill Museum to learn about the tallest Scotsman ever to have lived, and the tallest recorded true giant.
Mill Park is a delightful home-from-home for adventuring across the Isle of Skye, with all the comforts waiting for you at the end of the day.
