The village itself, a walker’s paradise, offers good amenities including a village shop, a local pub and numerous walking and cycling opportunities, with stunning views of the coastline and mountainous regions beyond to be enjoyed. Nearby Kyle of Lochalsh, known as the gateway to the Isle of Skye, offers a range of shops, hotels and restaurants and boasts a busy harbour that plays host to a variety of cargo, fishing and occasional passenger vessels. Nearby Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most famous and popular sights, is perched at the end of a stone causeway on the shores of Loch Duich, whilst further south is the Glenelg Peninsula, a tranquil backwater, which is beautiful, remote and relatively undiscovered.
