  • "Able to take our young dog on first holiday without any worries."

Very friendly and welcoming hosts,. All the amenities we could wish for. Wonderfully positioned, with good routes for an interesting week's stay. Easy to get to from the north.

  • "We had a lovely week at this property."

After a day amongst the crowds, the peace and quiet when returning back to the cottage was most welcomed.

  • "We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property eg the carpets had wood lice wandering about and little black insects crawling about, the bed had dead flies between the sheets numerous cobwebs in other words it needed a good spring."

We did mention some of these points and her answer was you get these in the countryside. I was brought up in the countryside and did not have this problem.

Once Mr & Mrs L had settled in , i called at the cottage to make sure all was well. I was amazed to find MrsL clutching her dog and wearing Marigolds, and Mr L was on the landing with the Hoover. I asked if all was well and she said she’d seen a weevel on the carpet and didn’t want her dog to eat it, and there was a fly on the stairs, which they also didn’t want their dog to eat. I explained living in the countryside you can get the odd bug in the cottage. Also my Pointers eat all manner of things and are very healthy! My cottage is always cleaned professionally after every booking and this is the first complaint Iv’e had in 5 years of doing holiday lets. Property Owner
