A beloved part of local community, The Schoolhouse in Binstead has been lovingly converted into this wonderful two bedroom cottage, close to many stunning countryside walks and the golden sands of Ryde, on the Isle of Wight.
The front door greets you as soon as you enter through the main garden gate, and opens into a spacious hallway.
The master bedroom will be found at the front on your right hand side, providing plenty of storage with a large built-in wardrobe and large chest of drawers, whilst next door is the twin bedroom.
The family shower room is directly opposite the front door, therefore leaving the spacious sitting/dining room left of the hallway.
Games, books, radio with Bluetooth, TV and DVD are there all ready for you to sit back and relax after an adventurous day discovering many of the island’s hidden treasures.
The fitted kitchen is off of the sitting room, and has been thoughtfully equipped making The Schoolhouse a real home-from-home.
Outside to the side you will find the gravelled terraced courtyard garden area, with table and chairs, whilst around the back there is a garage for you to use, with parking for one car.
Binstead is perfectly located being minutes from the ferries at Fishbourne (car) and Ryde (passenger), as well as being on the main bus link between Newport and Ryde with buses passing every 10 minutes.
Quarr Abbey which takes its name from the limestone quarries where William the Conqueror commissioned for the stone to be used to construct Winchester Cathedral, then subsequently Chichester Cathedral, Romsey Abbey and even parts of The Tower of London, is a must visit, with its wonderful walled garden and tea room, which uses the organically grown produce grown by the monks.
After the tranquillity of the gardens, browse the bookshop and art gallery filled with works from many local artists.
Take the coastal path to Ryde and enjoy a day by the seaside, which offers something for everyone, with its wide sandy golden beaches, miles of shoreline all the way to Seaview, marina, boating lake, indoor swimming pool with an opening roof for those sunny days, bowling alley, ice rink, golf course, cinema and amusement arcades.
Ryde also offers international cuisine from the many restaurants, pubs and cafés, as well as a selection of boutique and antique shops, and stunning architecture all around you.
If a little pampering is required, pop into the Liz Earle’s shop with Ryde being where this iconic brand was born.
A lovely holiday cottage, perfectly located for year round enjoyment.
