  • "We had a wonderful time at Bailey Cottage."

Thank you so much. It’s a great place to stay with friends - perfect kitchen to cook in and socialise in and the bedrooms are well sound-proofed from the communal areas so no one was disturbed if half the group wanted to stay up late. We loved it and would definitely recommend. Our only suggestions would be to move to eco washing up liquid and laundry detergents and cleaning products etc. huge thanks to Nick and Jenny for hosting us and for excellent communication in advance of our trip.

Bailey cottage is beautiful and has so much to keep you entertained. The surrounding area of Burlesdon had lots of lovely walks and pubs, we truly had a fantastic time and will be back in the future. Thanks so much to Nick and Jenny for being on hand with any questions and making everything as comfortable as possible :)

It was extremely comfortable and well equipped and dog friendly. We loved relaxing in the hot tub as an added bonus. The jolly sailor is also an perfect pub and we wandered there for a couple of meals. Would recommend to others

  • "Super cottage, extension is fantastic and creates a great family area."

Only thing I was not expecting was a smaller pool table. This is fine for the room but I was expecting a full size. Really pleased with the cottage and only a minor issue. Location is excellent and access to the station is great for a short trip into Southampton or Portsmouth. Ps you can barely hear trains which was a concern but a non issue.

A bit confusing regarding which bins to put the recycling in, I think other guests have put things in the wrong bins, confusing us. That was the only thing, fantastic place to stay and recommend it .

It was great the cottage was at the station. The trains didn’t bother us at all, as my grandson loved watching them. The cottage had everything you could ask for & there was plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was a hit. Also the garden was nicely kept. We had a great stay & would recommend the cottage to our friends.

  • "Baily Cottage is very beautiful and very relaxing."

Everything was there that you'd need for a really good holiday. The hot tub was very popular, and made our holiday even more special. Baily cottage is very comfortable and homely and a lovely mixture of old and new. There are some really good pubs near by that do good food eg The Jolly Sailor. There's loads to do in and around the area eg Portsmouth Dockyard, Nature Reserves & The New Forest (Cycling). The owner Nick was extremely helpful and sent some dvd's back to me that I had stupidly left behind. We were sad to leave Baily Cottage and would definitely like to back there again.

The welcome food hamper was a lovely touch and we would go back again.

The owners had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We had a great time relaxing in the beautiful house and hot tub and enjoyed some lovely days out with so many places within driving distance such as Southsea beach, Calshot beach, Lymington, Portsmouth, southampton, lee on the Solent. We enjoyed meals at home including a bbq plus meals out at the jolly sailor down the road, a tasty Sunday roast at the river rat in Hamble and take away fish and chips from the local chippy.

Nick, the owner not only went to meet my clients at the property with extra candles but he also took wine, offered dinner at the local pub and offered extra nights as an apology. He was a lovely guy to talk to and took care of my clients perfectly.

Amazing walks from the door and lovely welcome gifts including a crabbing kit for the children. The hot tub was a bonus and we spent many evenings eating in the courtyard. The kitchen extension was just stunning and there was plenty of room for all 8 of us. The children loved the bonus of the games room! Information provided before the holiday was excellent! Would book again!
