  • "Beautiful place to stay."

Perfect base for returning to after being out exploring and sight seeing. We went out to Durdle Door with Lulworth Cove 2 mins away. Also a day out to Longleat and the next day to Stonehenge. Just a couple of the places we visited during our stay. The cottage had everything supplied that was needed for our stay. The owners really have thought of everything that you would need. The local pub and shop was about a 20 min walk and the farm shop was a quick drive down the road. The welcome pack on our arrival was a lovely suprise too. We really had a lovely time.

  • "The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into this new property."

The sloping ceiling in the mezzanine bedroom and bathroom does restrict height which should be mentioned. Welcome touches with the hamper and Bayliss & Harding hand and body wash in the bathrooms, and the kitchenette is well equipped. In terms of location, Marchwood is within easy reach of many local highlights.

  • "We had a lovely holiday in this property, the property was as described."

On arrival we were greeted by a very nice welcome hamper. The garden was lovely, private and secure for our dog. The hot tub was set at a nice temperature and enjoyed this every evening. There is a lovely farm shop five minutes from the property. We would be more than happy to book this property again.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Bury farm Cottage."

We hope you enjoy the gift we left you. It’s in an ideal location to reach everywhere, and super dog friendly. The decor was a high standard and you have thought of many things. The only suggestions I would make is having somewhere to hang out wet towels maybe an airer for outside would be very useful. Maybe a fence Panel in front of the hot top for privacy as sometimes felt overlooked. Highly recommend and would love to come back.

Thank you Debbie for your valued feedback. We were extremely grateful that you thought of us enough to buy us a gift, that was very lovely of you and a wonderful surprise thank you! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and we would love to welcome you back! We will of course take your suggestions on board as we are always looking for ways we can improve. Rest assured the garden and hot tub have extremely little visibility from our property as it is a fair way and there is screening provided by the fencing and planting but we will look at placing extra for complete peace of mind. All the very best, Helen and Greg Property Owner

  • "We had an enjoyable stay using the cottage mainly as a base to explore the New Forest and local attractions."

The location is excellent in this respect. When we were at the cottage we all enjoyed the hot tub! The cottage was clean and as described. We didn’t meet the hosts, but they left a nice welcome pack. Would suggest bringing extra towels if staying, given the hot tub and lack of drying facilities.

We are so glad you really enjoyed your stay with us. Whilst we didn't meet you on this occassion we always provide lots of ways guests can contact us should they wish to or just walk down to us. We will be providing additional drying facilities based on valued feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve so many thanks for this. We provide ample towels for all guests for their stay but of course guests may wish to bring beach towels for the hot tub or visiting the beach. Thank you for your valued feedback and of course you are welcome back anytime. Best wishes, Helen and Greg Property Owner

I would say that the cottage is even better in the flesh than it is in the pictures. It was clean, comfortable, and the layout and facilities were perfect for us. Helen and Greg were a pleasure to deal with and the welcome hamper was the icing on the cake!

Very comfortable beds and sofa, and a good amount of storage. Good location but not very much within walking distance so recommend car. Full great kitchen but bear in mind no dishwasher so roll up your sleeves!

  • "We had the most exceptional Christmas stay at Bury Farm in the beautiful barn."

We were blown away by the welcome of Christmas decor and treats for our family, the beauty of the property and the overall excitement of a trip to the forest knowing our stay was going to be so comfortable and peaceful at the barn. The comfort and homely feel in the property, the amenities needed for family life for our weeks stay and the added bonus of super comfortable living space (beds and sofa) and of course the hot tub and open, huge garden for our dog were just excellent. We were so happy with our stay, the barn is beautiful and such a perfect place to stay including great location. So close to some gorgeous trails in Brockenhurst and Beaulieu. We were really pleased with the great communication between the owners and the ease it took to book and prepare for our stay with them assisting along the way. We had the most magical Christmas staying at the barn and I highly recommend you book your stay here. It was beyond amazing.

  • "1 Bury Farm Cottage was perfect."

There is no other way to describe it. Everything was done to a high standard, everything was there that could be thought of, the property was spotlessly clean and the touches like Christmas decorations and the smell of Christmas really helped transfer us into a holiday spirit from the second we walked in the door. The building is light and airy and at the same time cosy and comforting. The owners have put so much thought into everything; the design and the functionality are faultless. We can’t wait to go back - I think we’re agreed it’s the best place we’ve stayed. Thank you for making our holiday so special.

  • "We had a lovely stay and everything was as described, our only feedback was the signal on the TV was very weak and struggled to watch anything."

The hot tub was a great addition and the location perfect for exploring the area. Good information provided on places to visit include restaurants. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Thank you for your kind comments. Now we are aware of the issue with the poor signal, we have rectified this and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes. Property Owner

  • "Bury farm cottage is everything that it says on Sykes."

It was cosy.. comfortable and clean… everything you would expect from a five star property. Helen and Glenn were lovely and the couple of very small issues we had were sorted immediately. The Prosecco and cream tea on arrival was a very welcome extra as were the tea and coffee and milk and a few more extras. All in all a wonderful week and it was great to find the hot tub scrupulously clean. Definitely will return.

  • "The barn was beautiful."

The owners have really pulled out the stops with the quality of the accommodation, furniture and items for your use. The welcome gifts of prosecco, biscuits, home made scones, teabags, coffee and milk and orange juice was a really nice touch. Hot tub was great too.

  • "Just returned from a lovely week at Bury Farm Cottage."

We loved the location of the cottage, but you do need to have access to a car whilst you stay here. There were loads of activities to do around the area, we are a family with two under 5s and there was never a moment where we worried about where to take them, from crabbing off Hythe marina to Peppa Pig World, this area has it all. I do highly recommend the National Motor Museum (definitely my husband's choice) the kids loved the amazing play area there. The accommodation is of a very high standard, with the owners on hand if theres any issues, though we had none. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with young children.
