  • "We had a very enjoyable stay here at the lodge when we arrived there was some food and drinks left for us that was really appreciated."

The lodge is situated on a lovely site. The bonus is that the onsite swimming pool is heated so no matter the outside temperature the pool is lovely and warm to swim in. Dave made us feel very welcome to his lodge and nothing was too much.

  • "Fabulous holiday at Solent Lodge."

The accommodation was beautifully clean and well equipped. The holiday park it is situated on has a small outdoor pool and play park, which our kids loved, and the passes left by Dave meant we didn't have to pay for this. We had a great time exploring the local area, lovely day out to the Isle of Wight, enjoyed Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Little tip is that despite not advertising this, you can get free access to the outside of all the ships on the Dockyard and the museum, rather than pay a minimum of £70 for our family to access the interior of any of the ships. Just go to the entrance and ask for a free ticket to the dockyard. Nice little day out too on the bright pink ferry to Hamble le Rice, across the water to the West. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

  • "We had a lovely time, the owner Dave was very helpful, making sure everything was available that was needed for our trip away."

It was lovely for somebody to care that we had the best time possible. We must also stay that this is the cleanest place we have stayed at in all our travels around England. So we would definitely rebook and stay here again. Thanks again Dave. Annette and Richard

A couple of extra facilities, namely a vacuum and washing machine would be an advantage. The availability of newspapers in shop would help in view of isolated location.

Many thanks for your feedback. The issues raised have now been addressed.Hoover now provided, Free to use launderette on site, Park manager asked about newspapers....Thank you also for your comments in the visitors book;-"We've had an extremely relaxing week. • "Loved it here."

Like a home from home. From the pre holiday phone call to the email wishing us a safe journey home, the owner Dave couldn't have been more welcoming or caring. The treats on arrival were really appreciated. Very well equipped and the outside space with furniture was a bonus as we had great weather. The site itself was quiet with a lovely little outside area near the bar where you can sit and have a drink looking out over the Solent. The site is also perfectly situated for visiting most areas of Hampshire. Would definitely recommend Solent Lodge and would have no hesitation in staying here again. Thank you Dave and Cheryl, and we wish you all the best for the future.

  • "The Lodge is very comfortable."

We didn't have very good weather so the Smart TV, good WiFi & well equipped Kitchen were appreciated. It's a good central place to visit the New Forest, Coastal walks & Beaches & surrounding attractions. The Site Clubhouse was open for Drinks & Food on the lovely Patio with good views over to the Isle of Wight. The owner contacted us at the start & end of our week to ask if we needed anything & the welcome pack was appreciated.

  • "It was very important for us to be able to walk in and immediately feel safe and confident in the standard of cleanliness given the world we are currently living in."

Solent Lodge was a joy to walk into! It was immaculately presented and very comfortable. The owner had contacted us prior to our stay and also before we left to ensure that we had everything that we needed and that our stay had been comfortable. We had a very enjoyable week, despite the weather, which no one has control over!

The Lodge/caravan we rented was lovely and clean and comfortable. The owner of the accommodation was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble and we appreciated the lovely welcome gift. Very nice touch. Although the weather was pants we enjoyed our week and just what we needed with all that is going on in the world at the moment.
