My little girl loved it, we would definitely return at some point , great location and if you want a sandy beach, go to west wittering beach, around 8 to 10 minutes in car. We spent an afternoon here, was fab

  • "First impression was a bit wary, according to the photos it looked like there was an enclosed garden, but we overcame that."

A small place but apart from egg cups there was everything you needed.

  • "The advertised photo is some year's old, time has taken it's tole."

The location is great near quiet beach with plenty nearby and good parking. It is just a shame the property has not been maintained to a better standard. The bedroom has signs of damp on the woodchip paper and mould on some wood facing. Outside half the patio furniture shown is no longer there and the fencing is falling down. The oven was filthy and the cannapy did not work. However the chalet is well equipped.

  • "This holiday home was a slice of paradise."

It was cosy with lots of activities available on the resort. In a rush to get home I left the children's coats behind, the owner messaged me and arranged the coats to be posted back which i though was above and beyond. The home was clean and had all the facilities required. I couldn't find a whisk but it wasn't a bother. The owner sent me an email prior to our arrival with suggested days out in the area which was great to plan. The kids are asking to go back and i haven't stopped talking about how relaxing the holiday was. we did giggle we all slept in the same room but I think it was a nice memory and kids enjoyed. The beach was literally a stones throw away. the cottage had bikes around at the side of the home which the kids loved, board games to enjoy. It really did make so many happy memories. Glass of bubbly on the patio watching the kids play in the field, very magical. The pool was out standing and social distancing was not a concern with so much room on site. The shop had the bare essential but the owners welcoming emailing did give advise about local supermarkets. loved loved this holiday, we will be returning to enjoy again!

  • "The chalet was advertised as dog friendly, but the frontage was not fenced off, so we could not leave the doors open during the hot weather."

Neither could we sit outside unless the dog was on a lead. The small window in the bedroom would not open. When I tried to shut the small window at the side of the chalet the handle came off in my hand. The lower level sockets in the living area and in the bedroom did not work; it looks like the fuses have been removed. The outside of the chalet needs maintenance; leaking guttering, rotting wood, etc. The doors to the shed housing the barbecue are falling off. It looks like the photo of the property was taken some time ago. Not up to the usual Sykes standard!

  • "Also last year we have been in this house and we had several defects passed to you and also an email to the owner."

Apparently not much was done with this, because several defects were still not in order. The kitchen and certainly the oven was still extremely dirty and greasy. There was nowhere to be found for example vacuuming, which is necessary if you have a dog with you. Last year we also announced that the cooker hood above the stove did not work, with all its consequences: during cooking, the whole place smelled and the fire alarm went off several times. In the bathroom there was no hot water on the sink, but on the bath and shower. The tap on the sink in the kitchen barely comes out of water if you let it run hot. But I do want to emphasize that the cottage is very cozy, very well located, close to various sights within an hour's drive. Being on the beach in a few minutes and lying in the middle of a nature reserve with endless walking possibilities is of great value. We enjoyed it. We came from Belgium which is a long way away. it is very handy that bed linen and towels are included, it saves on luggage.

  • "There was only 2 chairs on the patio not quite what the picture shows."

Limited cooking pots and trays for the oven. There was a hole in the bedroom wall and the paint was coming off in bedroom. Not sure I would advertise as sleep 4 as it was rather cosy for 2. There was some damp in the bedroom

  • "We have recently returned from a stay at 45H Medmerry, a well organised chalet with everything as described, not to mention a luxury bathroom!"

If it is peace and quiet you are looking for, then this is the one for you. Just a few minutes bracing stroll to the sea to blow away the cobwebs, too! With East Wittering village just a short drive away, everything you might need is here. We didn't get to Billys' on the Beach, the renowed fish and chip cafe at Bracklesham this time, but maybe next. I particularly loved the vintage road sign to Earnley from the road to East Wittering! Like a step back in time, surrounded by open farmland, but still close enough to amenities. Wonderful!
