"A real gem and oasis of tranquillity."
The property is just 2 minutes from the Ferry terminal and right next door to an excellent pub. It is an ideal base from which to explore the island with the coastal footpath right outside the door. It might be quite a small property but it is incredibly well equipped and very comfortable. The owners (Jeannie and Tom) could not be more helpful and accommodating. I stayed here during the week of Storm Eunice and my return ferry was delayed. Jeannie and Tom kindly let me stay on at the property. Thoroughly recommended and I am look forward already to my return visit.

"The Chalet is a perfect, cozy place for a couple."
It is tiny but equipped with everything you may need and even more. The position is fantastic, 2 minutes from the beach and perfectly located for some beautiful walks around. The Quarr Abbey is less than 10 minutes by foot. Jeannie and Tom are the most friendly and kind people. I loved the Chalet (and all the red squirrels that live in the area!)... I really look forward to going back!

"I would recommend this chalet to anyone at any time of the year."
We stayed over Christmas and the New Year; it was a lovely tranquil place to stay literally two minutes from a sheltered beach. The facilities are excellent including a barbeque and seating area outside and the chalet itself is cosy and very comfortable. Fantastic hosts!

Owners are great❤would return again and again

"The chalet was very much as described but the peace and tranquility of the outside area was the most special aspect of the property and exceeded our expectations."
-
"Tom and Jeanie were very welcoming and helpful."
Everything was provided in The Chalet, more than we expected. We really enjoyed the location, being so close to the beach and lovely walks, and particularly enjoyed the wildlife namely the red squirrels in the garden. We will certainly revisit in the future

"The Chalet was clean, well equipped and comfortable."
It was convenient for ferry, busses and restaurants. The owner was friendly and helpful during our stay. We would certainly like to return sometime.

"My wife and I stayed at 'The Chalet', Fishbourne, Isle of Wight, from 17th to 21st May 2021."
The owners, Tom and Jeannie, are delightful - friendly, helpful and welcoming. The property is well equipped - we lacked for nothing. Sykes Holiday Cottages' service is excellent. Your booking system and follow-up correspondence are well written and work without a hitch. All round excellent service. We had a thorough enjoyable stay. Thank you.

"The chalet is extremely well kitted out with everything you need for your stay."
It is in a quiet location and well located to access all the attractions on the island. Also within walking distance of the Fishbourne ferry. The only downside is that the bed can only be accessed from one side. The Chalet is ideal for a short break.

"Perfect for a quiet getaway."
Everything provided, so all you need to bring is clothes. Lovely hosts greet you on arrival and are on hand if you need anything. They also left us a couple of small bottles of wine and a box of chocolates. Such a thoughtful gift. Will definitely return.

"An absolute hidden gem."
The hosts were fantastic and friendly. The Chalet has everything you need for a short break. It is in a secluded location 2 minutes from a quiet beach, 1 minute from a lovely pub. Access to one of the main roads on the island means that everything is within driving distance. We will stay again.

"Cosy, well-equipped place to come back to after a day exploring the Island."
Within walking distance of the beach (beautiful sunsets here) and Quarr Abbey. The garden area in particular was the such a lovely surprise! It is secluded and has four separate seating areas, including a BBQ and chimenea. We brought some fairy lights and enjoyed some beautiful warm evenings BBQing, and drinking cocktails round the fire. Overall a delightful stay, in an incredibly convenient location, with very accommodating hosts.

"The Chalet and the welcome were exceptional."
Only 2 things made life a bit of a problem. Being 6 feet tall the bed being surrounded on three and a half sides was particularly difficult especially as my wife is recovering from a broken ankle. Also the bent wood easy chairs were barely up to the job of support my weight.

"EXCELLLENT VALUE FOR MONEY AND A GREAT BASE FOR EXPLORING THE ISLAND."
LOVELY HOSTS.

"It would be difficult for Sykes to exceed my expectations of them, they have been really good each time we have used them!"
The following question re publishing feedback is difficult. The Chalet, for the sake of us who are aware, is so good we wish to keep it a secret but for the sake of the super owners such a place needs to be published and thereby full all the time - a dilemma!

"The chalet was ideal for our requirements as we were out and about during the day and back in the evenings."
The cooking facilities were good and the place was very clean. The hosts were away during our stay but we did meet with them on our arrival and kept in touch by email. There were no issues that developed during our stay. They provided a selection of books and dvd's to use. We are hoping to return there next year for a similar vacation!

"This was our first visit to The Isle of Wight and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there."
The cottage was located not too far from the ferry port and was so easy to find as directions were spot on. The cabin was compact, very well designed and comfortable for two people. As a holiday cottage it could not have been better. There is a pub two minutes away serving good food. We explored the Island each day and included Osborne House which was so interesting. We look forward to another visit sometime soon.

"The Chalet adjacent to ferry terminal and owner's property."
Tom and Jeannie were very welcoming and added a number of 'little extras' to our welcome pack. A most enjoyable stay!

Just right for a quiet week in the Isle of Wight.

"Lovely wooden property, with very friendly and helpful owners."
Everything I needed and in a great location. I saw plenty of wildlife in the garden, too, including red squirrels, which was very enjoyable, and it is literally just round the corner from Fishbourne ferry terminal. This was my second visit to this property, and it will definitely not be my last!
