  • "The cottage is in a genuinely secluded and quiet location with a lovely outlook."

Adjacent equestrian facilities add to the interest. It is attractive externally and internally and well-equipped. Bathrooms are excellent. Would personally have preferred a door on the en-suite upstairs bathroom. Kitchen and living areas are relaxing and pleasant. Reliable wi-fi. Smart TV. Excellent, exclusive, gated and secure parking area. Good walking available from the door including the South Downs and Ashford Hangers. Owners who live nearby are communicative, helpful and very considerate. Highly recommended.

  • "It was a geest house, the owner was very helpfull and we loved the environment."

The house was very clean and we had a warm welcome with a chocolate cake and a bottle of prosecco. The kids loved to cuddle and play with the dogs.

  • "A beautiful location, great for birdwatching."

We recorded at least 33 species from the garden. Very clean. A little short on some kitchen essentials, for example, no chopping board. Very open plan on the top floor, no door to the ensuite, which could be disconcerting.

This peaceful, country location offers a family or group of four a restful break away from it all, with open-plan living, off-road parking, uninterrupted rural views, and a garden.

Although a rustic exterior, the inside has been lovingly refurbished with a combination of contemporary and traditional furnishings.

Step inside the open-plan living space and make yourself at home in the kitchen area, complete with an electric cooker, built-in microwave, and a coffee machine; everything you need to rustle up home-cooked meals.

Prepare the wooden table for four to pop open a bottle of bubbly and toast to your idyllic getaway, before sinking into the plush sofas of the sitting area.

You can choose a book from the shelf or switch on the TV, all the while the woodburning stove gently crackles nearby and warms the space.

Alternatively, make the most of your rural surroundings in your private garden where outdoor seating awaits!

Upstairs, a pristine shower room has a large, contemporary walk-in shower, heated towel rail, and marble-effect tiling.

The first floor also hosts one bedroom, the master double with an en-suite bathroom for relaxing bubble baths after the day's adventures, as well as a twin located on the ground floor; both offer traditional farmhouse furnishings and plenty of storage space.

When it's time to venture out, discover the charming hamlet of Froxfield where The Trooper Inn and the 17th-century White Horse pub serve classic British fare, whilst the Post Office and shop provides the essentials for foodies who love to cook.

This elevated position overlooks the Ashford Hangers National Nature Reserve, a gorgeous woodland area to get lost in!

You'll also be in the heart of the South Downs National Park where walkers and cyclists will find their paradise; discover far-reaching views at the Beacon Hill National Nature Reserve, pack your rods for Meon Springs Fly Fishery, or head north to the 18th-century Gilbert White's House & Gardens, a museum of renowned British explorers.

The market town of Petersfield is close by to uncover local history at Petersfield Museum, play a game or two at Petersfield Golf Club, and take a scenic stroll around Petersfield Heath & Pond.

However, literary fans will love Chawton, home to the Elizabethan Chawton House with exhibits on women's writing, and the preserved home of Jane Austen close by.

There's plenty to see in the city of Winchester, from the Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium to the 12th-century Wolvesey Castle, whilst the port city of Portsmouth has something for everyone!

Choose from a range of amusements along Clarence Pier, explore the seas with a boat tour from the historic dockyard, and sunbathe along Eastney Beach.
