    “The room we had was amazing however when we arrived they had my name down incorrectly and therefore only 1 bed was made, meaning we had to make the 2nd bed ourselves as soon as we arrived, which after a long trip was not ideal.”

Island Riding Centre Cottages

This charming collection of cottages can be found resting on the outskirts of Newport town, within the rural setting of the Island Riding Centre on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Each of the dwellings feature traditional stable doors and a quirky plaque telling the history of the horse in which the house is named after, giving subtle nods to its equestrian surroundings. These stylish holiday homes are complete with a well-equipped kitchen where you will discover a plethora of sleek appliances such as a contemporary electric oven and hob and a dishwasher, so there's no need to worry about who will be washing the dishes. Enjoy an entertaining evening indoors with use of the Smart TV that has been linked to the centre's WiFi, so that you can enjoy a wide selection of movies from apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, or indulge in some alfresco dining at the outdoor dining table that can be found in each of the properties enclosed garden. Guests have the option to bring along their own horses throughout their stay, or even learn to ride for the first time with expert trainers. Both our Frankel and Red Rum cottages can sleep up to four guests and welcome two well-behaved pets, whilst Marengo, Sefton and Seabiscuit are pet-free properties. Marengo and Seabiscuit are both accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Our Marengo cottage sleeps five guests, whilst Sefton sleeps six and Seabiscuit sleeps a total of seven guests. Designated parking can be found to the cottages with an additional general car park available by the Equestrian Centre. Whether you’re a horse novice or an avid rider, this attractive abode makes for an idyllic retreat for families of four and their four-legged friends to the magnificent Isle of Wight.

Named after the retired champion racehorse, Frankel, this stylish dwelling carries a subtle equestrian charm with its traditional stable doors and country kitchen with chic white cabinets, home to all of the essentials needed to cook up a delicious family meal.

Wander into the warmth of the sitting/dining room and admire the character of its exposed beams and pretty pastel decor as you snuggle up on one of the plush sofas and turn on the Smart TV where you can catch up on your favourite series for a relaxing night indoors, or watch as the horses gallop happily in the Sand School.

Climb the staircase to the first floor and discover two beautifully appointed bedrooms including a spacious double with the benefit on an en-suite shower room and a tranquil twin boasting flexible sleeping arrangements through their zip/link set up and the privacy of its own en-suite shower room.

Both of these bedrooms have been decorated with calming neutral tones and crisp white bedding, making this a great place to retire to at the end of an action-packed day.

The property benefits from its own enclosed garden to the rear and is perfect for letting your dogs out to stretch their legs and play as you soak up the sun with a refreshing drink in hand.
