Island Riding Centre Cottages

This charming collection of cottages can be found resting on the outskirts of Newport town, within the rural setting of the Island Riding Centre on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Each of the dwellings feature traditional stable doors and a quirky plaque telling the history of the horse in which the house is named after, giving subtle nods to its equestrian surroundings. These stylish holiday homes are complete with a well-equipped kitchen where you will discover a plethora of sleek appliances such as a contemporary electric oven and hob and a dishwasher, so there's no need to worry about who will be washing the dishes. Enjoy an entertaining evening indoors with use of the Smart TV that has been linked to the centre's WiFi, so that you can enjoy a wide selection of movies from apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, or indulge in some alfresco dining at the outdoor dining table that can be found in each of the properties enclosed garden. Guests have the option to bring along their own horses throughout their stay, or even learn to ride for the first time with expert trainers. Both our Frankel and Red Rum cottages can sleep up to four guests and welcome two well-behaved pets, whilst Marengo, Sefton and Seabiscuit are pet-free properties. Marengo and Seabiscuit are both accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Our Marengo cottage sleeps five guests, whilst Sefton sleeps six and Seabiscuit sleeps a total of seven guests. Designated parking can be found to the cottages with an additional general car park available by the Equestrian Centre. Whether you’re an avid horse rider or a family who seek an escape to the Isle of Wight countryside, Island Riding Centre Cottages make the perfect place to retreat with your loved ones.

The property

Resting in a rural setting within the Island Riding Centre Development is this charming, 150-year-old cottage, Red Rum.

Originally used as Victorian dairy barn, the cottage boasts plenty of character, offering a blend of contemporary and traditional features for families and couples to enjoy.

Look forward to unwinding in the open-plan living/dining area, complete with a plush settee and Smart TV so you can continue watching your favourite shows while away.

There is also the well-resourced kitchen where meals can be prepared, and a cloakroom with basin and WC.

Two tastefully presented bedrooms await upstairs, both of which are zip/link to offer flexible sleeping arrangements, and benefit from their en-suite facilities so you don’t have worry about morning queues!

Relax in the comfort of your privacy in the enclosed rear garden, which is also a perfect spot for some alfresco dining, or enjoy the landscaped gardens to the front of the cottage.

With a fully licensed equestrian centre just a moments’ walk from the cottage, what better time to learn a new skill or build on your on horse-riding ability?
