  • "Property needs some maintenance and there were a number of cobwebs in the property and also outside on the furniture."

We could not get the showers to run hot water, they were just lukewarm. Lack of freezer capacity is an issue. Otherwise nice property and we enjoyed our stay.

Welcome milk, water tea coffee was greatly appreciated. Would have been good to know that there was going to he dishwasher tablets, wash up liquid etc as we went and bought them. These are really minor things. Jon and Mel who are site managers are also lovely and v helpful. Would stay again.

As stated last year would be lovely if there was more toilet rolls only 1 supplied and cleaning bits for the toilets. Its not a moan, just saying as its hygiene. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks to Mel for the being on hand . Fantastic hoilday had by all. 10 out of 10 from us.

  • "Lovely surrounding have stayed here twice now and can't really fault it."

It's everything you need. Just a few small points to help you along with maintenance. The tap in the kitchen one of the metal handles comes out I'm pretty sure your already aware of this. The main entrance opening and closing it you really have to force it to close and lock, Is there anyway of turning off those green emergency lights I think they are there so bright at night they keep you awake,we had to buy some tape to put over them which worked thankfully. Think everything else was as expected so thanks for another lovely holiday.

  • "Beautiful location, well maintained site, really quiet and peaceful holiday."

Lodge kept very clean and tidy, and very modern, hot tub a bonus for guests but weather inclement for use personally. Easy walk to Pub/Eatery and on a bus route to explore on. Would have benefited with a Hair Dryer for the ladies, and shower temperature only cool. Could also require a new kitchen tap as bits kept falling off. Generally an ideal break.

  • "We had a lovely mini break at barolo."

The layout was perfect for two couples. Wonderful setting, great amenities at the eco Lodge . Only slight issue was that the hot tub was not warm enough to use on the first afternoon....but the property managers came out and sorted it that we were able to use the hot tub next door which was ready as it was not occupied so that was great and really appreciated. Very much hope to return next year.

Well maintained gardens around the property. Just one little thing, you might want to consider putting a hairdryer at the property.

  • "This was a beautiful place to stay."

The lodge was well fitted, clean, warm and comfortable. The owners were keen to ensure that everything you needed was in place. The hot tub was well maintained and checked regularly. The area was kept well tended by the gardeners. We were able to get good food from the Mermaid bar and the staff there were keen to ensure that you enjoyed their hospitality. A great place for a holiday.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Barolo."

The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to a couple of minor queries that we had. The site is a lovely little spot next to a great pub/restaurant run by the Mermaid Distillery. The cottage was clean and the kitchen area very well stocked with everything we needed. The owners added a few nice touches which were greatly appreciated. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms. Thoughtfully designed layout so it always felt private. Would very much recommend.

Clean and comfortable accommodation located in a quiet position just a short walk from the beach. The hot tub was an added bonus. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

  • "The accommodation was outstanding and spotlessly clean."

The welcome pack with the tea, coffee and biscuits was a wonderful touch. As was the milk and water in the fridge. The bed (we only Used the double room) was super comfy. The location of the site was also perfect for exploring the north coast of the island but close to Ryde where public transport (if needed) was good. I would highly recommend The Vineyard site to family and friends and would return myself.

I had a fan so. I could blow it dry that way. Settee was a bit hard. Need better tongs, not flimsy plastic ones. Hot tub was wonderful, used after site seeing.

  • "Great accommodation and a very enjoyable stay."

Mel was really helpful with any queries we had both before and during our stay. The lodge was well equipped and spotlessly clean. If I were to nit pick, small niggles were lack of hooks or anywhere to hang coats and no full length mirror. The slab on the step out of the main bedroom was loose, kept falling off and could be a trip hazard. The road at the back was busy, didn’t cause us any noise issues but was noticeable whilst in the hot tub. The fire system caused sleep issues for the first 3 nights due to the bright green ceiling lights that can’t be turned off, until we employed a work around. The smoke alarms are also ultra sensitive. The pub being a minutes walk away was much appreciated as was the excellent gin. Would definitely stay again if we return to IOW.

About the location

SEAVIEW

Ryde 2.6 miles.

Seaview is a small Edwardian seaside village on the north eastern shores of the Isle of Wight, only a 15 minute drive from the superb transport links of Ryde. Seaview is one of the South of England’s most famous holiday destinations, with a reputation of being an upmarket resort. This lovely seaside resort has stunning views out across the Solent, gorgeous golden sandy beaches, a sailing club, boutique shops and many popular restaurants and pubs, such as The Seaview Hotel and The Old Fort. On the coastal footpath towards Ryde just off Springvale is Puckpool Park, an old Victorian Fortification Battery, now with tennis courts, mini-golf and a children’s play area set within its pretty gardens. In the summer, locals and tourists take part in the famous Seaview Regatta, competing in many traditional activities, with races on the beach at Seagrove Bay, rowing in the village’s own unique boats, tug of war, the greasy pole and diving, all concluded at the end of the week with a magnificent firework display. As well as being a coastal village the nearby countryside at Seaview’s Duver is a nature reserve, with frequent visits from the beautiful red squirrel, as well as having an incredible array of bird life. A wonderful Isle of Wight base.
