“The cottage was well furnished and comfortable, excellent facilities and the Cottage ideally situated.”

We enjoyed the garden very much as did our grandson. Thank you for an excellent welcome pack.

The property

Resting in the West Sussex village of Westbourne is this loving renovated semi-detached house, 1 Rainbow Villas, offering contemporary style mixed in with period features.

Suited to a family of five or two couples, 1 Rainbow Villas is near to the local amenities, and is within easy reach of the South Downs National Park, Chichester and Portsmouth.

The beautiful beaches at Chichester & West Wittering offer a delightful day out for the whole family within easy reach, with the Goodwood also hosting the annual Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, making for a fun-filled trip.

With an abundance of walking and cycling opportunities within the South Downs National Park, avid explorers will not let left short for days out, while slightly further afield is the city of Portsmouth, home to another pretty beach, plenty of shops, pubs and eateries, and the historic dockyard hosting the HMS Victory & Mary Rose exhibition.

Step inside from the street straight into the open-plan living space, where a sitting area complete with an ornate original fireplace will greet you following a day of adventures, before continuing through to the kitchen and dining area.

The kitchen is equipped with quality appliances including an electric oven and gas hob, with a utility room housing the washing machine and freezer, so you can find all you need as you prepare a feast on the black granite worktops, to be served around the country-style dining table.

Bi-fold patio doors illuminate the space and lead out to the pretty enclosed garden where a patio with furniture can host alfresco dining and the lawn makes a perfect spot for games and fun in summer.

Retreat to the sitting room for film nights and quiet evenings in, with plush seating to get settled on and a Smart TV, as well as a beautiful original fireplace.

Two steps up from here lead to the stairs taking you to the elegant bedrooms, with two double rooms and a single, each with more period features, along with a lovely bathroom to freshen up in with a bath and overhead shower.

The village of Westbourne is a lovely base for accessing a host of different attractions and areas, being just south of the South Downs National Park where you can find attractions like the National Trust's Uppark House and Garden, West Dean Gardens and Weald & Downland Living Museum.

Spend a fabulous day at the races over at Goodwood Racecourse hosting a handful of events throughout the year, perfect for a special occasion.

Head down to the shoreline at Emsworth to try your hand at some watersports with Marina Watersports offering equipment hire for paddle-boards and kayaks, providing a great way to enjoy the coastal scenery and get active.

Westbourne itself has all the amenities you need with shops and pubs, or perhaps venture to the edge of Portsmouth and enjoy peaceful walks along the Southsea Parade Pier before a visit to Southsea Castle, and its cute model village and beautiful parks for picnics.
