  • "We had a fabulous vacation at the Hideaway."

The location is excellent! Easy walk to the sea, the arcades, restaurants & bars and even the coop for last minute groceries. The home is a good size and quiet. We enjoyed the back garden too as we had a 6 year old with us and he was able to play outside in a safe, fenced area. The kitchen was great too. We cooked in several nights and the facilities were perfect. I would give the property an 11 out of 10 :-)

Hello Michaela, it was a great pleasure to have you as our guests in the Hideaway, and absolutely delighted you had such a wonderful stay. Thank you for your great review which I know the team will be absolutely thrilled with. Warm regards, Karin Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful holiday."

The flat was as spacious as promised and we had no trouble getting all 5 of us sorted out properly. Shopping, pubs and restaurants in walking distance and very good. As was the beach. Parking proved to be a little complicated, but we managed thanks to the provided free parking space. So thank you and best wishes, Andreas and family.

Delighted to read you had such a wonderful holiday in the Hideaway. Thank you so much too for your feedback as it’s very to important to us to ensure you have the most comfortable stay. Again many thanks indeed. Warm regards Karin Property Owner

  • "Lovely care free brake."

We did not book somewhere wheelchair accessible and there was a degree of difficulty getting a wheelchair up the small lane. However that was our failure. Would have liked a small drying line out the back. Home was bright, airy, spacious and clean.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. So pleased you had an enjoyable break. I’ve definitely taken on board regarding the drying rack and will now provide one for future guests. Warmest regards Karin Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely, furnished with all we needed."

Beds were so comfortable and bonus to have a garden. The beach was a 10 minute walk and all other amenities really close by. The priory was listed with on road parking but would have been helpful to know that it was parking permit only between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. The property didn't have a permit and only when we got there we understood that parking between those times could be in another street close by in front of a garage. It would be useful to either have a permit for guests or to make this clear in the listing. Other than this we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, and pleased to know you had a nice break. The council only allow parking permits for local residents, they are not available for visitors, and therefore we had made the availability in front of our caretakers garage to enable our guests to park free of charge. I’m a little disappointed that we have lost our 100% percent previous rating due to your not having been forewarned , I will ask Sykes to update their information to reflect this. We look forward to welcoming you again should you visit Southsea in the future. Warm regards Karin Property Owner

Just a few little tip to make thing better. Pedal bin in bathroom. Non slip mat in Bath/shower Soap dispenser in bathroom or more liquid soap New toilet roll rather than half used roll. Possible some tourists information leaflets. Parking is quiet difficult at night times. But very warm clean please in good location
