“Schönes Haus, ruhige Lage, hundefreundlich”
Wir (2 Erwachsene Anfang 50) waren im Mai 2017 eine Woche lang in diesem Haus und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist total gemütlich und die Ausstattung war wirklich gut. “Ideal location for New Forest, Portsmouth, Winchester and several National Trust/English Heritage properties.”
Very comfortable property, warm welcome from owner. Recommended for those a little less mobile, wonderful walk-in shower with seat. Plenty of space for families/couples and large garden. Highly recommend.
“A lovely property in a lovely area.”
A good location for exploring the area.
“Very relaxing holiday in a beautiful area of Hampshire.”
House was very well appointed and the generous owner supplied us with wine, milk, fruit and biscuits so we felt very much welcomed - and our dog even got a bag of dog-treats too! The fully enclosed garden meant we had no worries about our dog wandering off to explore the neighbourhood. A handy Waitrose store was a bonus.
“Beds Oh so comfortable - settee's modern and so too near the ground and therefore uncomfortable but that is the modern trend.”
Nothing really wrong just us aged fogies
“Would recommend Dovedale lovely house and garden especially the garden for our dog would definitely use again”

“It was the perfect location for my stay and very well equipped, good value for money for this short stay”
“Home from Home.”
We had arranged, with the owner (Jan) to collect the keys at a later time as we wished to visit Salisbury on our way to Eastleigh. The flexibility was good and worked well for us. We were met by the owner who told us about the keys, and about everything in the house. The owner is a very friendly person and willing to help if at all possible. On arrival there was a welcome package of Fresh Fruit, Orange Juice, Packet of biscuits, milk and a bottle of wine, an excellent welcoming touch. There is a booklet containing necessary information about codes for WiFi etc and local amenities. The house was spotlessly clean, every utensil for cooking you would every need was also available. The WiFi was excellent, not as some rentals where the signal is not so strong. There were DVD's, Books and CD's available if needed and for wet days. The area is nice, the garden is beautiful and well kept. There really isn't a downside to this holiday rental. If we get to visit this area again we would certainly look to book this house. Thank you for a most excellent accommodation which I would recommend to anyone. Bedding and Mattress - the only reason I scored good here was that for me personally, the mattress was a little soft but my partner said it was fine.

About the location
Southampton; 7 Winchester; 7
Chandler's Ford is a southern Hampshire town situated close to Romsey, and on the edge of the old railway town of Eastleigh, midway between Southampton and Winchester. The town's name derives from the fords which had to be crossed on the old road to Winchester. Although now known as a business centre, Eastleigh itself lies on the banks of the River Itchen, a well known chalk stream beloved by fly fishermen.Good transport links, by, road, rail, or plane (from nearby Southampton Airport), mean that this area is very easily accessible, and offers visitors an excellent touring base from which to explore this diverse area of the south. Nearby Romsey is well worth a visit, where you can enjoy Broadlands house and gardens, former home of the Mountbatten family, or the beautiful Abbey. Whilst the New Forest National Park offers you a tranquil rural setting, home to deer, wild ponies and cattle. The younger members of your group will adore a trip to Peppa Pig World at Poultons Park, or how about a day out to Marwell Zoo, both a short drive. For a retail therapy experience, look no further than Southampton's West Quay, whilst nearby Winchester provides you with a fascinating and historic day out. It will be hard to choose from all the attractions on offer, whilst enjoying your stay in this interesting area.
