  • "Fantastic sociable space for eating and relaxing."

Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Wonderfully warm with underfloor heating downstairs which was really welcome after a rainy walk. Great access to Crickhowell, Abergavenny and the hills all around. The owners were very helpful and happy to make all the beds into singles for our group of nine friends. Very pretty garden and space for outside eating. The only things to improve: the downstairs shower didn't drain very quickly so water collected. Others said that hot water ran out quite quickly too. But we had a great stay and would definitely recommend the barn.

  • "Lovely and warm when we arrived ."

The downstairs toilet you had to pump 3 times to get it to flush. The main oven took a while to get it to work as no instructions left out we finally found them in the cupboard with the bins. The floor was dirty and crisps toys and other rubbish under the chairs quite visible . The main table was dirty as well as the mats some of them needed to be binned. The windows were full of handmarks. The beds were very comfortable but when we removed the pillowcase some of the pillows were badly stained and in need of a wash .

  • "Very comfortable home in rural location."

We stayed here over the Christmas week and it was very nice that the owner organised both a Christmas tree and decorations. We were impressed with nearby Abergavenny which is a country town that has retained lots of its character and has a good range of shops and restaurants. Excellent location for walking the surrounding region. We hope to stay here again.

If you want peace and quiet it’s the place to be, wish there were more footpaths nearby.

  • "A great place to accommodate a large group."

Wish we were able to stay longer so that we could make the most of the beautiful outside area with bbq. Peaceful place and loads of birdsong. The shower in the en suite could certainly do with an upgrade, but aside from that minor point, our group really loved it

  • "We had a really great time in this spacious, spotless and comfortable house."

The beds were extremely comfortable, the sofas perfect to relax on in front of the TV after a long day walking in the beautiful surroundings and the kitchen was well stocked with appropriate levels of crockery and cooking utensils. The TV reception was a tad intermittent probably due to the surrounding mountains but we managed to deal with it. All in all a great place to stay and we will definitely be returning. Our only suggestion is that the house folder of information was a bit sparse on appliances and how they worked but otherwise perfect

The whole house was spacious and comfortable especially the beds and the house was lovely and warm. The kitchen was very well equipped. The children loved seeing the horses in the neighbouring barn and fields.

The bedrooms are very comfortable and there is easily space for eight adults plus small children. The kitchen is well stocked and the large oven and fridge are great when catering for large groups. We found everything we needed for our Christmas holiday and felt very welcome.
