Very peaceful location, immersed in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Log burning stoves much appreciated - even on chilly August evenings. The piano in the barn was much enjoyed. Great WiFi Thank you. We had a great week. Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Llangain Farmhouse. Property Owner Reviewed by MariaAug 2021 "We liked the house and the views were amazing when the weather cleared enough to see them." But as a consequence of the weather( cold and wet) the house was cold even with thd fire on as one of the lounge windows didn't shut fully. On arrival, we noticed that the dishwasher was full and had not been emptied, the woodburner had half burnt logs and ash had not been swept out or emptied, the left side of the toaster slots didn't seem to work and there were some stains on the toilet seat and double bed linen plus we found some dirty plates( crumbs and crisps) had been put back in the cupboard without cleaning and dining table had red/orange stains over it so didn't appear to have been wiped clean. Appreciate the owner cannot be aware of all this as they are not local but caretaker should be particularly in covid times with all the extra cleaning that is expected. Absolutely stunning place to stay for both the accommodation and location. Will really try and return. Reviewed by RichardAug 2020 "Very nice holiday." Beautiful cottage with breathtaking views and the owner is so nice and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves. Reviewed by TitiaJun 2019 "Excellent location, well appointed, well furnished appropriate equipment and welcomed the heating." Ms Chatterton "The cottage was cosy and had all the necessary things we needed." Mrs Bradley "The reason we wanted a holiday here was to get away from the hectic world we live in; emails phone calls, staff bosses, all wanting a piece of you 24/7." We searched extensively online looking for the ideal place - and boy, we were not disappointed. As soon as we pulled up here we knew that we were going to love it. Mr And Mrs H. "Lovely place, log fires, very cosy and beautiful setting." Mr Steward "The accommodation was good quality, all our needs catered for, the design and lay out worked well, the furnishing were just the right style, relaxed but good quality." The location was exactly as had been described toys, so we had no illusions of it being close to Hay - close enough to walk, and book a taxi back. We shopped in Hay Deli and made a feast for the family on Saturday night, more reasonable and relaxed than eating out. Ms Dixon "For the price it was fantastic, everything you could need, a home from home." Mr Hodges "We completely loved our stay" Mrs Steward Show more This property is part of the Manor Cottages collection. With over 250 years of history this is a holiday home that comes highly recommended with traditional features throughout, including beams, thick walls and three woodburning stoves. The house has been restored using local craftsmen and materials (such as Herefordshire Oak) to create a one off property. The cottage can sleep up to 14 as a sofa bed is included in the barn for an extra two people. We see this as a wonderful converted farmhouse with a location that is unparalleled.
