  • "An ideal property for a family get together."

Suited all ages, plenty of space inside and out. We made use of the BBQ, Hot tub and tennis court. Every member of the family enjoyed from ages 2-75! Zigi welcomed us and was easy to contact should we need any help.

  • "Timber Barn is a fantastic place to stay and we had a really wonderful week."

We were a gathering of 3 families and although there were 11 of us there was plenty of room for everyone. The property was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, The hot tub and tennis court were very well used and enjoyed by all of us. You can also see both the sunset and sunrise from the property as it is on a small high overlooking the countryside. Zigi the owner was very helpful and we cannot thank her enough for a lovely, happy week.

The barn felt so homely and comfy and this was felt by the whole family. The owner Zigi, was very helpful with us as we arrived in the midst of Storm Eunice and was suffering a power cut. She gave us candles, torches, hot water for a cup of tea and offered us the opportunity to warm a meal if we wanted A lovely place to stay run by a lovely lady.

The accommodation was perfect for us (6 children and 5 adults), with lots of space. The tennis court was great, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The location was ideal for a quiet week away. We could walk into Eardisland easily enough, where we enjoyed the tea rooms and local pub. The village is beautiful.

The barn was comfortable and spacious for a large group and the facilities are great (fully stocked kitchen!). Any questions we had regarding our stay or the facilities were answered pretty much immediately and nothing seemed to be any trouble. I 110% will look to come back here if i need to accommodate a larger group of people (family get together or girls weekend!)

Great space for large gathering. Ample room to be able to escape! The travel directions supplied once final payment is made are very poor (head east, turn left, turn left, turn left, slight right, turn right) would never have found the property had it not been for the detailed instructions provided by the lovely owner, Ziggi.

  • "The barn itself is a lovely building as shown in the photographs and the hosts the couple of times we spoke with them were very friendly."

We were left bottles of wine on arrival which was a very nice touch and logs for the log burner. The log burner was not necessary as the under floor heating is very effective and we actually had to turn the thermostats right down despite it being the start of February. The hot tub was lovely, though a brisk run from the barn door as, as we understood the owners rotate hot tubs between guests and the one closest to the barn had recently been used and they had not had time to clean it, we used the one if the wooden outbuilding which is a little further away but not far. Points to mention; Unless you are looking out of the master bedroom window the outlook is into a working farmyard with views of utilitarian farm buildings rather than open fields, that's not clear from the listing. The nice sitting room with the yellow sofas shown in the listing is not the main sitting room, this adjoins the dining area and it pointedly not shown in the listing. The furniture in this area is a little mismatched, the chair seats a little saggy and the rug is clearly stained. The master bedroom is accessed directly by stairs from the smaller sitting room, with no door between which may bother some people. Overall we had a pleasant stay, just a few little things not quite as implied by the listing.

There is plenty of space for a large group together with a good range of kitchen equipment, a large dining table and comfortable seated areas in both the spacious living rooms. We particularly appreciated the en suite facilities for 4 of the bedrooms and the shared en suite for the other two bedrooms and we much enjoyed use of the hot tub and tennis court. The owners are friendly, helpful and accessible. There is plenty to do in the area including visits to National Trust and other houses, gardens and castles, including Ludlow Castle, and several lovely walks within a few miles of Eardisland. We would certainly recommend this holiday property to others.

We were 9 women artists so ideal for us in every way - facilities and location surrounded by “Ribena” fields! It would also suit a family gathering with different ages. Super master bedroom and one room perhaps for 2 children. Plenty of bathrooms and sitting areas. Super tennis court( we didn’t use ) Hig tub - we DID use! Great area for bird watchers - Kites, Buzzards, Kestrel, Song-thrush, Blackbird, House martins, Swallows, Sparrows Magpies, Redstarts, Dippers....and more. Lovely black and white villages nearby. Eardisland very close with village shop etc. Owner “Zigi” is on hand if you need her. One of the best holidays we’ve had as a group!

There was ten of us that stayed for seven nights and it was an absolutely great experience. The owner, Zigi, was lovely and attentive and everything was close to perfect. It’s a lovely quiet and private area, whilst still being very near the lovely village and there was still lots of things to do. We had a meal in The Cross Inn in Eardisland one night, which was very easy to book, even with our large party. Also days out such as West Midlands Safari Park, Small Breeds and Owl Sanctuary (about 15 mins away), and National Trust properties such as Berrington Hall and Croft Castle were very close and accessible which made the location of this stunning property perfect for a mixture of busy and a relaxing week. Beds were very comfy, and both living spaces met the large party size we had (although would stretch to seat more than ten in one room). Kitchen was brilliant for cooking for a large party and things like the hot tub and tennis courts added even more to this lovely property. Had an amazing time would definitely recommend Timber Barn and would definitely stay again.
