  • "We had a wonderful week at The Owl Barn!"

Peace and quiet with views to die for from the conservatory. We watched storms coming and going as well as saw some spectacular sunsets. The Pughs at the farm were lovely and really helpful. This was our first stay in Herefordshire and we weren't disappointed! We'd recommend visiting Berrington Hall, Croft Castle but most of all Westonbury Mill Water Gardens with it's amazing follies. Yarpole and Kingsland are beautiful places for walks with fab local pubs (The Bell Inn and The Angel) which we ate at a few times. We also enjoyed watching the Swallows and Linnets flying around The Owl Barn and listening to their songs. We finished our evenings before sundown strolling down the farm track to say hello to the Herefordshire cattle in the fields. They love a head scratch as they're very curious!

We're a married couple with one dog and our weeks stay at the Barn was enjoyable, the view from the conservetry of the rolling hills and the sunset every night was excellent. The Barn itself is fully equiped and comfortable. I would not recommend walking along the road at the bottom of the drive, as the vehicles drive at speed along there. I would recommend Ludlow SY8 1XY, Croft castle HR6 9PW, Berrington hall HR6 0DW, Queens wood country park HR6 0PY, Carding mill valley SY6 6JG. Enjoy your stay you will love it. • "Lovely little cottage, perfect for our family of four."

Sue was very welcoming and the property was well equipped for our stay, especially the kitchen which was well furnished with utensils and pans. Great location, close to Leominster and the main road to Ludlow, but you wouldn't know it as it's so peaceful and with some beautiful sunsets to enjoy. The kids also loved racing around the drive on their scooters and enjoyed meeting the local cows. Thanks so much and look forward to returning.

Hosts were charming and welcoming and the same goes for the accommodation. Second bedroom may be a little cosy for adults but overall the cottage was spacious, fitted out to a very high standard and comfortable. It was a pleasure to return there after days out. No enclosed garden for dogs but mine was more than happy to explore the grounds on a lead. The conservatory was a bonus with lovely views across the countryside and front row seats for the sunsets. Hope to return soon.

Has all the equipment you can need. Although we didn't take our dog it would have been ideal as there is so much space to exercise a dog, and no traffic. A few minutes drive into the interesting town of Leominster with plenty of pubs, eateries shops and a Morrisons on the Brecon road. This was our second visit and may not be the last.

The conservatory had fabulous views across the fields and hills and watching the sunset each evening was wonderful. The owner was friendly and helpful. It was on a farm and very peaceful - yet only a few minutes drive from Leominster. The Hereford trail passed nearby for walking and there are several national trust properties and country parks in the vicinity. I had a fabulous, relaxing and enjoyable week. I was lucky that the adjoining cottage was empty for the week. I am not sure it would have been the same with people looking in at me from their conservatory or making a noise. But that's just a personal thing.
