The open plan space downstairs is very cool. Really lovely views out the front from the hot tub/patio and sitting room. The owner lives in the nearby farm and was very responsive to our requests.

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We had quality family time making memories. All the facilities were very well thought of and implemented. There were elements of wear and tear in the showers and dining chairs, however that said it wasn't a problem for us as we felt it was a small detail in the grand scheme of the whole package. I would definitely recommend and would certainly not hesitate to revisit in the future. Thank you Matt and Melissa

  • "The Hayloft is just what we wanted and more for a wonderful friends get-together."

Plenty of space for board games, communal cooking, and meals. The hot tub was always nice and hot and we enjoyed playing on the covered pool table outside. The view out the glass front of the barn never got old, especially on stormy afternoons. The surrounding area is lovely as well and I'd recommend an easy trip to the water-breaks-its neck waterfall. All the rooms were cosy and comfortable, and the bathrooms clean and modern. If you are a large group staying for more than a few days, bring some extra toilet roll with you. A few bits around the house could use a bit of an update- for example, the dining room chairs are a bit uncomfortable, the tablecloth could do with being replaced, and there didn't seem to be a key for the door to the patio, but all in all they weren't significant enough to hamper our enjoyment of the property. Would definitely stay again!

Thank you for the lovely feedback! Addressing the points raised... We have already replaced the tablecloth and are in process of purchasing new dining chairs. We're pleased to hear the few points raised didn't effect your stay and that you'd return for another holiday with us! Property Owner

  • "The house is lovely and is set in beautiful surroundings, the facilities are great, beds very comfortable and towels provided, both for the hot tub and normal showering."

The downside is, its just down hill from a farm, which stinks, a normal farm with normal farm smells wouldn't be so bad, but the smell is really really strong. This means that there is an abundance of flies everywhere, the house is full of them, it made cooking in the kitchen really difficult as the flies landed on everything, more than 30 buzzing around. There were dead flies under the bed, I counted 20 under mine. it really spoiled the stay. The hot tub was lovely and warm, but hadn't been cleaned properly and a previous guest had obviously got in with fake tan or something and there was a greasy scum around the top of the hot tub and brown foam when you put the bubbles on. The hot tub wasn't ready when we arrived, but if it had been clean we wouldn't have minded so much. It was sorted during Saturday and that was much better. There is a fire pit, but could really do with a BBQ, this was raised by a guest in 2017 so hasn't been addressed. Getting a taxi anywhere is a no go, but the owner organised a very lovely man with a mini bus to take us into the nearest town so we could have a meal and the local pub, we then had to ring him and he picked us up. Fantastic service and only £20 each way, although we paid him £50 because he was great. If you could pick the house up and put it a bit further away from the farm then this is the most amazing place. But marred by flies :(

Everything was clean and we were well catered for with everything in the house - including hot tub towels, plenty of cooking equipment, laundry facilities, and a welcome hamper that was lovely to find upon our arrival! The wifi was a little patchy and there was no phone service - not a problem, but good to know so you can prepare beforehand if you want to e.g. look up places to go nearby! The house was gorgeous and we'd definitely recommend it!

  • "The holiday accommodation was brilliant, exactly as we expected from the photos."

The views were beautiful and far better than we could have imagined. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the place was immaculate when we arrived. The only negative we would say about the accommodation is the shower in the main bathroom only produced scolding hot water and the temperature control did not alter the heat of the water coming out. As such none of us could shower in the main bathroom. This is a minor problem that can be easily rectified by a visit from the local plumber. We would also recommend some more comfortable seating are outside rather than just the picnic bench. Other than that the accommodation was excellent and perfect for a large family get away. We would definitely come back and would recommend to others.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Since your stay, we have fitted a brand new shower that is working perfectly. We appreciate your comments about the outside seating and will look into this for the future. Once again, thank you for staying with us. Property Owner
