  • "Lovely, warm cottage in beautiful and peaceful surroundings."

The cottage is spacious. Hosts were very helpful, we had a problem in the cottage and they sorted it quickly. Lovely, freshly laid eggs had been left for us-thank you.

Hi Susan Thank you for your review. Delighted the eggs were a hit and thank you for your accommodation as part of remedying the problem you mentioned. Many thanks for booking your stay with us, be delighted to welcome you both back anytime. Property Owner

  • "If I could give this cottage 6 stars I would!"

We didn't want to come home! We spent 6 wonderful days in this beautiful cottage, decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise. Everything we needed was there, beautifully clean, cosy, with enough fire logs for the week! Thank you to Ed. Nena and Jo for making our first Christmas away from home so wonderful. Would have no hesitation on recommending this cottage and would go back in a heartbeat

Thank you so much Chris for your very kind feedback – its heartening to receive such a review. We’re thrilled that we were able to help make, in some small way, your first Christmas away from home a memorable one. Please come back anytime...its even lovelier in the full bloom of Spring and Summer! Property Owner

  • "Lovely warm cosy cottage, extremely peaceful and lots of walks on the doorstep for our dogs."

Ed, Nina and Jo our hosts made us extremely welcome. Ideal for visiting many places, such as Ludlow, Ledbury and Hay on Wye. We will certainly return.

Thank you Mary for your very kind feedback – delighted you all had a nice and peaceful time with us. Would love to welcome you back again one day but in the interim thank you for choosing Fieldfare for your Herefordshire getaway! Property Owner

  • "Immaculately clean and the fixtures generally are of a high quality."

The garden room is particularly pleasant due to the outlook. The owners were friendly and not intrusive, it was comforting to know they were nearby as the location is rural. That said, Leominster is only a short drive away (and has a very good Morrisons and some interesting shops & eateries). Recommend also the black & white village route and Newton Court around 8 miles away for breakfast or lunch - we went there twice and bought cider, honey and sweet treats from their well stocked shop.

Thank you Rachel for your feedback and for drawing attention to Fieldfare’s cleanliness and garden room. Nice to hear about nearby recommendations for lovely local days out too. We'd love to welcome you back anytime! Property Owner

  • "Lovely clean and bright cottage situated in idyllic spot nestled in countryside yet close to villages."

Fresh eggs provided by owner on arrival much appreciated. Only minor comment on cottage would be that shower was bit small and could have done with having soap/shampoo dish/caddy. Walks on your doorstep at rear of cottage Ideal spot for visiting black and white villages and plenty of places to visit close by such as Croft Castle, Berrington Hall, Hampton Court Castle Gardens and Brosbury House and Gardens. All in all we had a lovely few days stay at Field Fare and would definitely come again.

Thank you for your comments Keith, the soap/shampoo caddy was actually still on order after being accidentally damaged by a previous guest so apologies this wasn’t ready and available for your stay. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, enjoyed the walks and packed so many of the lovely local sites and things to do into your itinerary whilst with us. Come again any time! Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely few days at Field Fare and would definitely book again!"

The cottage was perfect for the two of us with our two dogs. Everything was clean, in good condition and furnished to a nice standard. The cottage is in a nice quiet area and has some gorgeous views. Plenty of walks on the doorstep and not far from pubs and shops in the car. The owners left us some fresh eggs to enjoy and some treats for the dogs. We left wishing we could have stayed a few more days!!

Thank you Danielle for your kind words and comments – we’re delighted you all enjoyed your stay with us and were able to use the cottage to its fullest effect as a comfortable, clean, quiet stay and great base for exploring beautiful Herefordshire. Would love to welcome you back anytime! Property Owner

  • "This property was in an beautiful, peaceful area."

Lovely dog walks on the doorstep, easy reach of shops and pubs. Everything you required was in the property. The shower room was on the small side but all other rooms were fine. The owner provided fresh eggs which were very welcome. An ideal place for a break.

Hi Doreen, thank you for your feedback – lovely to hear Fieldfare suited your needs and the walks from the door are always nice aren’t they; you’re right, it’s fair to say the shower room is slightly compact but hopefully it served its purpose with no issues; no problem with the eggs – it’s our pleasure to provide the happy fruits of our rescued hens to our guests. • "In your description of Fieldfare you mentioned a bathroom and cloakroom, this was incorrect there was only a bathroom."

Toilet didnt flush very well and shower tray needed replacing it wws patched up around drain and doors stuck. I mentioned this to the owners who were aware of it. Quite a few black beetles in lounge but it was out in the country.

Hi Isabel, thank you for taking the time to feedback – you are right there is a cloakroom listing mentioned where there shouldn’t be, so we have requested the listing be updated by Sykes (as we do not directly control this). Sorry to hear the toilet was not flushing well, we have tried it since and it seems to be fine, but we’ll keep an eye on it; as for any beetles, as you point out we are ensconced in the countryside (within 17 beautiful acres) so we do get the odd visitor from time to time (a hare on the doorstep was our favourite guest sighting) but we’ve not seen any since, so hopefully it was just an isolated occurrence.
