Anita and Rob are always approachable and easy to get along with, they even invited us to the lambing shed to see the new lambs arrive which was an added bonus to an already relaxing idyllic break. We will definitely try to return.

  • "We had a great time at the farm."

The house was great for 11 of us with lots of space for both adults and children, especially as the weather wasn’t great. The hot tub was such a bonus, especially for the children, who went in most days. It was good having 2 lounges as we kept one for adults to sit in during the evening and another for the kids and most of their toys. The house was cosy, even though big, and always warm. The owner was very helpful and easily contactable when we needed extra equipment. The only reason why I’ve given 4 stars for comfort is that a couple of the beds were uncomfortable, the en-suite double and en-suite king upstairs. Also, the en-suite in the king room upstairs was quite cramped compared to the spacious en-suite in the double. The room was large though. But we did have a good holiday thank you.

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We found the guided local walks very helpful and enjoyed exploring the area. Coming back to enjoy time in the hot tub was enjoyed by all.

Anita was an amazing host, so informative and we had her number if we had any questions. The place itself is beautiful. So much room and so many amenities. My favourite part was sitting in the hot tub looking at the views, so peaceful and tranquil. We will definitely be returning.

Out in the countryside with nothing but beautiful views and sheep for company :-), what better to look at at when your sat in the hot tub. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach if we had any quetions. 11 of us stayed for both christmas and new year and the cottage had ample space. Will highly recommend this place to anyone.

  • "An outstanding property in a beautiful area."

The house is finished to new build standards but retains much of its original feel and features. Large family dining area will genuinely seat you all for a home cooked meal fro the well equipped kitchen. Twin lounges might not suit everyone but worked well for us. Superb, quiet walking and cycling (both road and mtb) can be found from the doorstep. Lots of other walks/trails also within a short distance as well. After a good days walking the hot tub awaits! Anita is fastidious about this being clean and correctly balanced as she is about the cleanliness of the house. A good base for exploring both sides of the border.

  • "Pictures don’t do it justice."

A lot better than it’s displayed on the website. Only downside I’d say is that the living rooms are a bit small but we spent all our time in the kitchen as it was huge, so it wasn’t a issue. We even moved one of the couches into the kitchen for extra seating. Host was great. Only a phone call away when we needed something. Hot tub was great and always warm too for 3 days. Overall it was a great stay and rate the property 9.5/10.

We are glad to hear that you had a great stay at our property, we would strongly recommend not moving furniture around the property to avoid damage to the property or anyone hurting them selves while they are away. We hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

Had to cancel our original holiday due to Covid restrictions and then we stumbled on the farm last minute. The house was immaculately clean, the beds were so comfortable, and we were provided with everything we needed and the hot tub was amazing especially on a breezy afternoon/evening. Even being surrounded by sheep was lovely!! Will definitely look at going back in the summer. Plus owners are so lovely. Really made my 30th birthday special. Thank you x

Set in lovely peaceful surroundings in rolling green hills. The house was finished to a lovely standard with a great kitchen/diner ideal for family gatherings. The house was well equipped with plenty of cups, plates, cutlery etc, a good sized fridge/freezer and nice range oven. Outside the hot tub was a big hit and we spent many evenings sat in it star gazing! We would definitely come back! Anita was very friendly and helpful, but gave us plenty of space and privacy.

Nestling on the banks of the River Lugg, the ancient town of Presteigne lies on the border of England and Wales and has been voted one of the top 10 towns in Britain by Country Life magazine. The reason for this award is obvious as the town boasts an array of black and white timbered buildings, narrow cobbled streets, individual shops, tea rooms and traditional pubs as well as the award-winning Judges’ Lodgings, a Victorian museum complete with stunning judges’ apartments, servants’ quarters, courtroom and cells. The town plays hosts to music and arts festivals throughout the year as well as a monthly farmers’ market. Explore the Mortimer Trail, Offa’s Dyke, the lovely walks up to Wigmore Castle, Croft Ambrey and the quiet valleys of the Lugg, Teme and Clun. The small town of Kington, well regarded as a centre for walking, is celebrated by visitors for its lovely scenery and excellent walking and cycling in the surrounding rolling hills. This quiet, pleasant town offers a number of excellent shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a variety of tourist attractions close by including the Kington Small Breed Farm Park and Owl Centre, the pretty blooms at the Hergest Croft Gardens and Radnor Hill, which boasts England’s highest golf course. Ludlow, with a magnificent castle, over 500 listed buildings and stunning medieval street pattern, provides a fascinating backdrop for the town’s regular street markets, showcasing a range of goods - from cheeses and fresh produce to books and local crafts. Take a day trip to the town of books, Hay-on-Wye, the pretty market town of Leominster or Hereford with its cathedral home to the Mappi Mundi world map.
