The property

Situated in the heart of Pembridge village, a few miles from Hereford City centre, is this charming annexe property, Little Forge.

This heart-warming retreat is an idyllic base for a couple seeking to explore the delights of the area, as well as the surrounding countryside which is superb for those who enjoy walking and exploring the outdoors.

Entering the property, be welcomed into a sitting room which has a plush sofa where you can cosy up with your partner and enjoy a relaxing evening together, taking advantage of the Smart TV.

Walk through to the compact kitchen/diner which comes with a combi microwave oven, induction hob and a small fridge/freezer so you can still whip up some delicious meals.

Choose to lay your head to rest in the spacious double bedroom which is full of character with the exposed beams across the ceiling and walls, making this a warm and welcoming space.

A shower room can also be found and is ideal for a long rinse at the end of a tiring day.

From the sitting room, throw open the patio doors which lead out into the enclosed garden area where you can take a refreshing drink to watch the sunset.

Directly outside, across the road from Little Forge, is the award-winning restaurant Kings House, and within a 2 minute walking distance are two pubs, the village shop and cafes, one of which is the notable Ye Olde Steppes.

In addition to this, The Cider Barn is a fabulous restaurant on the outskirts of the village of Pembridge, a mere 1.5 miles from the Little Forge.

This property is well-placed for accessing a number of tourist attractions that are well-worth the visit, with many local pubs and restaurants within a short drive for some fine dining opportunities.

Further afield is the cathedral city of Hereford, home to a wide range of independent shops for those shopping sprees and picking up some souvenirs for your loved one’s back home.

The bustling medieval village of Pembridge lies on the Black & White Village Trail and boasts many striking 15th and 16th Century half-timbered buildings, and has held markets and fairs in the village since the early 1200s. The village has a beautiful 14th century market hall, 3 traditional village pubs, an excellent village store, a cafe and a church with a unique detached bell tower. Close by, the picturesque village of Weobley, once voted one of the top ten places to live in England, has many timber-framed buildings, and excellent facilities including a village shop, local pubs and the renowned Jules restaurant. Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, is within easy reach as are medieval Ludlow, the cathedral city of Hereford with its medieval bridge spanning the River Wye, Mappa Mundi world map and Chained Library. The magnificent Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park also make a great day out. Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside including Offa's Dyke and the Golden Valley, this is an excellent location for walking and cycling trails as well as sampling wonderful local produce at a local cheese factory, vineyard and cider farms.
