"Excellently equipped, spacious, comfortable accommodation in a good location for visiting many attractions."
Good walking, gardens, National Trust properties and of course the Malverns, Shropshire and Welsh hills and towns such as Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye, Ross-on-Wye, Hereford and Leominster. The host, Mary was helpful and on hand to help with any problems.
A bit of an issue with the wi-fi at times, but it is a rural area.

"Absolutely loved this cottage!"
The location was perfect for exploring Herefordshire - without having to do too much driving. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated to a very high standard yet remained incredibly comfortable and well equipped for our self catering holiday. The bed and bedding in particular helped me sleep better than I have for ages! Would highly recommend.

"This is the second time we have stayed here."
The Cottage is extremely well equipped and is in a lovely area. Mary and Tony are lovely hosts with Mary providing us with eggs and home baked cake. A very good base for exploring the whole area and having a cooked breakfast at the small airfield just under a mile away. Good selection of pubs in the area for food and drinks in the evening. A perfect break.
Thank you Brian and Sue, you are very welcome and it was lovely to see you again.

"This property was listed as dog friendly but think that it missed the point ,very busy road no gates closed and no area to exercise a dog ,the road only 10 or so metres from the back of the property was busy day and night."
Other than that the cottage it’s self was very well set up towels ,bedding first class it was just a shame regarding the dog it spoilt it for us.
Thank you for your comments. We ask, in accordance with Sykes terms and conditions, for dogs to be kept on a leash at all times when outside the cottage. Having the gate open in these circumstances shouldn’t make any difference. We have a reasonably spacious garden and adjoining paddock (when not occupied by sheep/horses) which guests are welcome to use to exercise their dog. I’m sorry to say that we can’t do anything about the road, but farm traffic is a fact of life at this time of year. Property Owner

"The accommodation was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable!"
The only negative was not with the accommodation but with the very busy road running alongside the garden - the traffic was so noisy we couldn't hear each other speak if one was in the kitchen and one in the garden.
The pub is now closed and up for sale but there are plenty of other places a short drive away.

Only recommendation would be a mirror on opposite side of entrance to site as exiting is tricky because of the hedge.

"Dawn, myself and our puppy Archie loved our break between Christmas and New Year."
The cottage is very modern, refurbished 2019 if memory serves and is very well equipped plus it’s fig friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom and well planned. The location is central to many attractions such as Croft Hall, Barrington, Ludlow Castle, Stokesy Castle etc etc. There a super restaurant just up the road which again I S dog friendly. Shopping, there’s a small shop within walking distance which is well equipped with essentials however, for a bigger - better value shop - there’s a huge Morrison’s 15-mins away.
The hosts Mary and Tony were great, very helpful and cheery.

Mr and Mrs Arber, the owners, made it unique by the lovely home made cake and personal instruction about places of interest near us as it was our first time in this lovely part of the country. Thank you to you both.

"The equipment in the kitchen was adequate."
The dressing table mirror in the bedroom was too small, and too low down on the wall. There were however some wonderful touches, Some cake and milk ready for when we arrived. A shoe horn and umbrella to use. A good, powerful hair drier in the bedroom. The shower was amazing, with fully adjustable jet head. A very smart, tidy, clean and comfortable cottage.

The cottage was extremely well presented and a great deal of care and thoughtfulness had gone into making sure all the current COVID-19 safety guidelines were met. "Lovely relaxing stay with some nice touches which really make you feel at home."
The spacious bedroom and bathroom give a luxurious feel too. Also smart TV which my teenage son in particular really appreciated. Beautiful countryside all around and a warm welcome from our hosts. They were very helpful and provided lots of local information which added greatly to the enjoyment of our stay.
I do think guests should know that the garden area backs onto a B road as that may be an issue for some dog owners in particular. The road had only intermittent traffic but there were occasional lorries to the industrial area further down the road.
A larger oven glove would also have been greatly appreciated as the one in the cottage is very small and tricky to use! Other than that the kitchen is very well stocked with all that you could need.
Would definitely recommend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are delighted that you have had a pleasant stay at the cottage and enjoyed exploring the attractions. The road at the rear of the property is the C1032, however, this does not appear on maps, because of the proximity of the road and the fact that we have a lot of wildlife (including horses in our field at the moment) in and around our property, we specify that dogs should be kept on a lead at all times Property Owner
