"Thank you for a lovely stay 20-24th November, the extra touches make such a difference."
We will certainly be back.
"This is a fantastic cottage in a great area which I’ve loved staying at."
The hosts couldn’t be more welcoming and I’ve felt right at home throughout my stay. Would highly recommend. Thanks again
"Great stay, beautiful surroundings."
Easy access to main roads without the noise of busier areas. Host was friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and she provided everything needed for a pleasant stay. Plenty of room for two to three people without any issue.
"This is a luxury studio with everything you require covered."
Extremely clean and welcoming. A lovely quiet place to go to relax. The only point I would mention is that the bed is extremely low to get out of, it fits perfectly into the decor so I can see why this choice was made, all I will say is if you have any back or knee issues you will have a problem. Having said this what a lovely retreat the accommodation is. Thank you.
"An absolute gem for a quiet get away."
I was very impressed by the welcoming supplies, and basics like tea and coffee being available. A well stocked kitchen for equipment. My only problem was the bed was too low for me getting in and out, it may be mentioned in the description and I forgot, but once in it, it was very comfortable. It snowed whilst I was there, however I was cosy and war. I imagine in warmer weather sitting out looking at the gorgeous garden and wildlife would be wonderful.
"Lovely studio and very well equipped."
Thank you for the milk, flapjacks and chocolate bunny! Bed very comfortable. Only area we felt could be improved on was the shower as the pressure wasn't very strong and the temperature fluctuated. Towel rail was very useful in drying all our toddlers clothes! We loved watching the birds and wildlife on the bird feeder. We would definatley return!
"All fine, nice and comfy with some lovely touches, very well equipped."
Did did find the bed a bit low for us, but that could be due to our ages.
"Unexpectedly spacious, well planned, and very comfortable - everything one could need and more."
A lovely studio in a nice location. We used it as a base to visit people and places within about 30 miles so we didn't have the opportunity to look around the area properly and the only sightseeing we had planned were Bekonscot model village and Bletchley Park - both very enjoyable. As was a lunch with old friends at Zaza in Harpenden. Karen was very welcoming and helpful. The only possible downside could be the very low bed which was very comfortable once us oldies got down there!
"The best equipped one we have ever stayed in."
The generosity of the owners was overwhelming. The one downside was the shower room which was down 13 steps and for older folk like ourselves a little difficult so be aware.
"Very accomodating at short notice."
Lovely studio. Great location.
"Beautifully done up loft."
Will book again.
"Lovely setting, clean and comfortable,it is quite a long walk to Harpenden though, over 2 miles, so a meal out meant using the car."
"I highly recommend Little Tree Farm with no faults to find."
Nice , clean and comprehensively fitted out and supplied with everything we needed for our 3 week stay in Harpenden
"Excellent cottage, harpenden is a beautiful town, nice and relaxing."
Ideal for trips into London. Would highly recommend.
"Excellent cottage for my week stay."
Excellent facilities and grounds. Fantastic owners. Will be back soon
"This was my second visit to Little Trees Farm, I just love it here!"
It has every facility you could need for an extended stay, secure parking and a very peaceful location. I'm always sad to leave, thank you Karen for a warm welcome again!
"A convient base for Harry Potter World, Hampton Court, Kew Gardens, Bletchley Park and surrounding National Trust and English Heritage Properties."
"A first-class experience from the booking to the excellent accommodation."
Will use again - thanks.
"The accommodation was beautiful, hosts were very friendly and helpful."
Had a lot of nice little extra touches that made it even better than expected. would definitely recommend.
"All the extra little touches made the stay so much more comfortable and worth while x"
"We had a lovely time at our cottage we picked in Harpenden."
It was peaceful and quiet but a great place for people who are active and like rambling the countryside. The cottage had everything you could want to be comfortable. Had a very enjoyable time.
"Lovely studio, but certainly not suitable for someone with mobility problems."
It has a few steps to property and wooden stairs up to main door are high. But saying that it was a beautiful setting, very quiet and safe. Owners were very nice and didn't bother us at all. Well situated for visiting many of the counties around it.
"A lovely peaceful place to stay, only 10 minutes drive from St Albans."
It’s very well equipped with everything you could need & we had a wonderful time!
"Even though it is on the owners lovely property (the original farm house) it feels very private and secure."
Quick and easy access to central London by local bus and train, Thameslink. We went twice. It would well suit going to a West End Show in the evening. Harpenden is a lovely little town
"Good communication and a warm welcome."
Location was perfect. Walking distance to The Fox pub which does great food and drink. Lots of courtesy extras that I wasn't expecting and really appreciated.
"Excellent accommodation, hosts were excellent also will definitely book there again"
"GREAT HOLIDAY VENUE FOR ONE OR TWO PEOPLE."
VERY COSY (NOT CRAMPED) WITH ALL FACILITIES. IDEAL LOCATION FOR VISITING LOCAL TOURIST SPOTS, E.G. WOBURN SAFARI PARK, WHIPSNADE ZOO, LUTON HOO etc., AND HARPENDEN TOWN WITH ITS OWN ATTRACTIONS. JUST ONE THING; LOW BED AND SQUIDGY MATTRESS.
"The Studio at Little Trees was possibly the best-equipped cottage in which I have stayed."
Any negative criticism of it would be very marginal. (I don't like eating at a bar stool.) I chose the location because of the ease of access to another family engagement, and it suited that purpose well. Also I wanted a place in which to read, and to do some painting, and it was fine in that respect. On the other hand, I wanted to do some country walking, but the arable farm-land in the area makes for rather dull walks, the country lanes round about this area are quite busy with cars, and you are in constant earshot (once outside the cottage) of the M1 and Luton airport. If it suits your particular purposes then The Studio is brilliant, but you need to be aware of the limitations of its location.
"It suited our needs perfectly easy to access the surrounding towns and countryside."
"From the moment I arrived I knew I would love my stay here."
The studio was lovely and warm upon arrival which was so welcoming on a cold winters day. The welcome food pack was a nice touch and the kitchen was the best equipped I have stayed in with ample utensils, crockery, coffee and cooking sundries. The downstairs laundry area was so useful too as I was staying nearly three weeks. It really was a home from home, I didn't want for anything! The studio is in a beautiful setting, so peaceful and I enjoyed watching the pheasant and squirrels who frequently visited in the garden. I was really sad to leave and would love to visit again. Thank you Karen for making me feel welcome to your beautiful home.
"Very comfortable studio accommodation in a beautiful setting."
Spotlessly clean, and importantly warm when visiting in winter. It takes around 40 mins to walk into Harpenden and there is lovely countryside to walk in on the doorstep, all within easy reach of the M1.
"A very nice apartment - just right for two and had everything we needed."
Very nicely furnished and evident a lot of care had been taken to create such a lovely holiday flat - we highly recommend it.
"We really enjoyed our stay here- the Studio was lovely and we had a warm welcome from Karen, Paul, and their dogs!"
"Stayed here 5th to 12th October and had a very relaxing week."
Most enjoyed sitting out on the decking in the mornings watching the squirrels play in the lovely garden. Karen, the host, was very welcoming and gave us some good pointers on nice places to visit. There was a good welcome pack on arrival including tea, coffee, bread, butter etc and the studio had everything you need for your stay including washing machine, dishwasher, dvds, board games and much more. Excellent base to visit places of interest or to just sit around and unwind so I would definitely recommend staying here.
"Karen and Paul took us at the last minute and where very kind to do so after Sykes mix up."
The studio was as described and the owners garden was resplendent. It had easy access to many areas. Excellent host and thank you for the welcome pack.
"The cottage is set in lovely grounds of a large private country home."
Karen and Paul are wonderful hosts who see that everything is attended to, including some special treats !. . The cottage itself is very tastefully decorated and very comfortable, and has quality appliances and fittings throughout. Just perfect for that getaway or for overseas visitors like us who want to self cater, an be close to London but still feel like you are in the country.
"The cottage is situated in a very good quite location five minutes from Harpenden and the lovely surrounding countryside."
"We were given a friendly welcome by the owners, their studio was kitted out to the highest standard everything was provided ."
A lovely place to have a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. Big thanks to Karen and Paul.
"Studio at little trees farm is a beautifully presented loft conversion with great attention to detail and quality fittings and appliances throughout."
Great bathroom with large shower. Match that with a very friendly warm welcome and a thoughtfully stocked studio and you have a perfect combination. This is one of the very best Sykes properties we have stayed in. Location wise it is perfect for local large village with nice pubs and eateries. Excellent location for visiting central London for a show or whatever. Within easy driving distance of Cambridge and Oxford which are both so well worth a visit. Discovering picture perfect villages in the area is also a must. Last point, why do Sykes list this property as Cambridgeshire ? That is not correct, it is Hertfordshire in fact. Please amend. J & J
"Lovely modern studio in a great location, providing us an excellent base for visiting family and friends in the area."
The owner was extremely accommodating, even baking us a welcome cake! I will definitely consider booking this property again next year!
